Selling my Softrider purchased from the big auction site three years ago. I recently put together an S40 shown in the S40 forum under the thread "S40 Roadie" thus I no longer have a need for the Softrider. Bike is in very good condition and fully functional. Eight speed rear derailleur with single front chainring, front and rear suspension. The bike includes the following extra items that will be included in the sale:
-Cateye speedo
-alum pedals with spikes: I replaced the original alloy cage pedals with spiked pedals which really hold the foot in place.
-air shock: I replaced the original spring rear suspension with the air shock shown in the photo. This is the biggest improvement that can be made on the Softrider, as it vastly improves handling.
-Schawlbe Kojak high pressure tires: 26" x 1.25"
The scratches shown in the last photo on the steering column happened when once when I had to lower the handle bar to fit the bike in my car. They have no effect on the riding abilities of the bike.
Price: $550 The recently released Cruzbike Q45 sells for over $2K and its rear suspension is a mechanical shock, and not an air shock like this bike, thus my price is extremely reasonable. Payment thru Paypal exclusively. Bike is sold as is, all sales are final, and there will not be any refund. I will not ship the bike thus it must be picked up by the buyer in southern Orange County, New York.
If the bike does not sell in two weeks thru this forum, it will be posted in the big auction site.
