If you're like me, you hate that nasty plastic taste that most bike water bottles seem to give off. A while back I started looking around for a stainless steel bike water bottle. Klean Kanteen has a very nice one that comes with a bottle cage. However, they're around $30 for the bottle and cage. I thought that was a bit much for a water bottle. But, my dear wife bought me one for Christmas anyway and it's great! Finally some nice-tasting water for my rides.
The other day I was at Walmart looking for a new water bottle for my wife. I wound up in the camping section and found the Stanley stainless steel One-Hand H2O bottle.
I was curious, so on my way out, I tried the bottle in a Zefal bottle cage they had for sale at the store, and, to my surprise, it fit perfectly!
The Stanley bottle is ~$13 and it seems to be very well-made. The Zefal cage I saw was ~$8 or you may already have a cage at home that would fit. Anyway, I thought it would be a little bit more affordable way to get a quality stainless steel water bottle on your bike.
