Hello all,

The large parts makers stop their cranksets at 165mm or 170mm, leaving those of us who need shorter cranks to hunt around. I have been riding 160mm cranks on a V20, S30, and S40 for five years now, but I had always been curious about trying 155mm, just to see if they were better or worse for me than the 160's (I am 5'4", with slightly short legs by proportion). I know that 5mm does not sound like much, but cycling is such a repetitive motion that I find even slight improvements in fit worth pursuing. Anyway, I tried a pair of 155's, and they were just better enough for me to go for it. So my 160's are for sale. If you have been stuck at 165mm, and want to try the next step down, here is an affordable way to try it out (thought the second pair described below would be for those looking to upgrade what they already have).

Crupi Rhythm aluminum
* Shimano 24mm spindle
* New bottom bracket included (not Shimano brand, but solid)
* 110 bcd, double chainring
* Straight and strong, no crashes. The driveside arm has some slight scratches due to chain bouncing off the big ring while shifting on rougher terrain. It happens.
* Current retail price, $170.00, without bb or chainrings
* Asking $75.00 with bb, but without chainrings
* Price includes shipping in the Continental U.S.

Aerozine X16V-CA-A2 carbon
*BB30 aluminum spindle
* FSA BB30 bottom bracket included (the green sleeve does not fit inside the CB bb shell, but the cups work well)
* 110 bcd, double chainring
* There are nice cranks that are clean and less than a year old. Strong, stiff, and light weight. They include a clever insert at the pedal threads. Inserted one way makes the cranks 160mm long. Inserted the other way and they become 165mm long, giving you some flexibility. The torque applied to the pedal spindle wedges the insert against the crankarm. I experienced zero issues with this system; it was as solid as any standard cranks I've ever used.
* Current retail price, $558.00, with chainrings, but without bb
* Asking $275.00 with bb, but without chainrings
* Price includes shipping in the Continental U.S. Rhythm 1.jpg Rhythm 2.jpg Rhythm 3.jpg Aerozine 1.jpg Aerozine 2.jpg Aerozine 3.jpg

I'm with you. I initially used Cobb's 155 mm cranks, but switched to a Quark power meter crank with 162.5 mm arms. I figured 0.3 inch difference would be barely noticeable. So I'm sticking with this setup until I get a reason to switch back.
