Tyre wire limit

It depends on your tyre

Some tires, like Continental Gatorskins (which I prefer) have wear dimples near the centerline of the tread. However, Gatorskins have a very shallow tread pattern; something like a hybrid-type tyre might have deeper tread. In that case, I would assume that when your tire profile becomes more square than round, it might be a good time to replace.

I checked the tyre last night

I checked the tyre last night and it still has radiused profile and grooves still have reasonable depth.

Finally fitted the

Finally fitted the tyres (been waiting on the presta valve adaptor) on the weekend of for a ride ... with 100psi in them I was expecting the usual bouncy ride but surprised to find that it was a lot better, I'm assuming it because of the "GreenGuard" layer softening the ride and I was riding 3-5k quicker than before very happy with these tyres, and another bonus the presta valves are better for pumping the tyres up with the schroeder valves I was loosing 20psi trying the unscrew the compressor valve with the presta valve you keep everything you put in :)
