I am trying to replace the chainset on my Sofrider but I can't get the cranks off on the chainwheel side, despite having the correct tool. Help!

Hi Angela,
The chainring side

Hi Angela,

The chainring side should come off in the same manner as the none chainring side, I have come across a few that have been on very tight and without grease that have taken extra effort.

I would suggest applying some heat to the area, if that does not help take it to a bike shop as they should be used dealing with this problem.

Steve.

stuck chainring

Thanks a lot, Steve. I will pass this info on to my mechanic (alias my husband).

Best wishes
