V20 build

Hi Gang,
I am planning on buying a V20 and building it up with Di2, my wheels will have hydro disk brakes. My question is what type of disk brake caliper mount does the V20 have? I own a Silvio, was going to upgrade to DI2 but figured I'd just go V20 all new. On the Silvio I would need to use a mountain bike caliper. See photos below for the Shimano Ultegra caliper and the XTR.
I currently have disk brakes on the Silvio, cable actuated.
Shimano does sell adapters of pretty much every combination, so that is an option I suppose.

I know there are people here with way more extensive knowledge, so school me please.
Thanks,
Harry

Both my Spye brake calipers on my V20 are post mount to an adapter. A 160 adapter for the front and 140 for the rear.

Up front I use a 40mm adapter for a 180mm rotor. I needed a couple flat washers to center the disc pads on the rotor. On the rear, a 20mm for a 140mm rotor. Some users have had to file a bit off a weld from the frame to prevent rubbing, but it must depend on what wheels you use.

That's helpful. Matthew are you sing the Ultegra hydraulic calipers? I guess I need pictures but it seems the photos from some of the older v20 Di2 builds are no longer available. I may just order the frame and components then see what adapters I need. Can always return what I don't need-if bought from the right vendor. I am leaning towards these wheels from BoydScreen Shot 2019-11-09 at 12.31.15 PM.png

Darn! Just when I was getting to be reasonable decent at riding the V20, then this happend.

Doing hill work, going full tilt up a 5 mile long hill. Some traffic came up on me so I shifted my position even farther to the right of the white line. Hit something that I could not see (probably hidden by leaves), then lost my balance. Put both feet down to prevent me from going down. My right foot hit something, shattering my ankle, leaving my foot turned 90 degrees from it's normal position. Three major breaks and lots of splinters. Got home last night. Looks like my riding days are over for a long, long time.

It could have been worse.... you could have been riding an upright and whatever it was would have you going over the top head first for sure.

Very sorry about the shattered ankle. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear about your crash! I know exactly how you feel, I'm about 80% healed from my crash on 6-1-19. Hope you heal fast and well.IMG_2025.jpegIMG_2027.jpeg

not that I don't sympathize but what does the broken ankle have to do with @HC203 and their original question? Not to sound like the train police here but sometimes I think member of this forums have no idea threads work with keeping things in context because I've never seen a forum whos members derail threads so often and so casually.

Hey Harry,

Getting back to your build... if you want to put covers on your rear wheel you might want to keep rim brakes on that and just have hydro front disc brake on the front. It's quite nice not having to go out and buying a purpose rear disc wheel and another wheel for everyday riding. It also helps when travelling too as the weight is less and you are more flexible. I have 50mm rims on my rear and with covers I sure save a few watts. I got mine from wheelbuilders but I know a few cruzbiker who have made their own covers. I wouldnt set up the front deuralleur until I have dialled in the boom configuration (manual - non di2). I always find a little adjustment goes along way. When you are happy with the boom configuration then deal with the front deuralleur and then you will be going very fast in next to no time.
:D
