Has the long chainstays installed.

The first thing I noticed about the Vendetta was how much more easily it handled compared to the S30. An absolute delight. The front-end feels much lighter. I thought the higher pedal height might be disconcerting, but it feels completely natural. Speed, as expected, was amazing. In riding the loop around my neighborhood, I'd glance down and see 19; a little later I'd glance down and see 22. (Those are uncharacteristic speeds for this engine.) Unfortunately, when I got a "warm" day and was able to get it out in my normal riding environment, I found the quality of our roads yielded a ride not quite as comfortable as I prefer. I got a lot of road noise/feel telegraphing up through the seat. Definitely like the speed and the handling, but it was just a little less comfortable than I prefer.

If you've never had a really nice component set (I hadn't), you're in for a treat. You just really feel at one with the bike, and the shifting is so nice and precise. If you've never had an upgraded wheelset (I hadn't), you'll feel spoiled. Those Boyd wheels feel like they'll roll forever.

$2199. Prefer local sale, but will ship with buyer covering shipping expenses. (Can also deliver within reasonable distance.)

Thanks. Ride my V20 exclusively. The S40 stays on the trainer. Would rather train on the V platform so thought I’d look about to trade for an older V. Maybe there’s somebody out there . . .

An iconic Cruzbike for sure! Matched the first one I had about 5 years ago.
Ride quality - if you threw some 28mm tubeless wheels/tires on this baby with about 80psi, and a Ventist seat pad I think you would find the ride quality drastically improved.

It's a beauty, that's for sure. Reminds me of a hammerhead shark. My son said a Corvette. A rumble bee, maybe?

One thing I forgot to mention which might be of interest--helmet ergonomics. I wear a Lazer. On the S30--and on my Bacchetta Corsa, which also has a neck/headrest--there is a bit of uncomfortable strain on the chin straps. Perhaps you've experienced something similar. Not so on the Vendetta. I was pleasantly surprised to find that, at least for me, the helmet/headrest fit was nearly perfect with no uncomfortably strained chin straps.

i wonder if you added some tire. like 28's. i ride perpetual chip seal on Reynolds assaults and Schwalbe ones in 28.
maybe try those or g one speeds in 30, which also fit my v.

I have the same bike, but with a shorter Chainstay.
I have Continental GP5000 in 700x28 tires. I swapped out the stock seat with a Thor carbon fiber seat and an Ice neckrest.
Most of my riding is on Texas Chip Seal roads. Even with my stock seat and adjustable neck rest it wasn't too bad...

Tires make a lot of difference! I keep mine inflated to about 90PSI.

Blessings,
DocS (Rudy)

Indeed. I've ridden by Wells many times--albeit, not on my CB. (I'm actually not in New Pal--just served by their post office.)
