You have a rare bike, indeed!

You have a rare bike, indeed! That would be the Pittsburgh Steelers version. Five of these were ordered by the Rooney family after Bill Cowher found that adding cycling to the training regimen was a great way for some of his players to cross train without taxing their bodies durimg the season. If you flip it over, there should also be an Iron City logo on the frame. SWEET BIKE!

Neil sent me some photos of

Neil sent me some photos of his Vendetta... This is his black seat Vendetta

I'm hoping to get to see him for a ride soon. Thinking of Neil's Vendetta as my next recumbent - used to have a Windcheetah...

Moving on

I too have a Windcheetah that has become a museum piece. I inflate its tires and dust it off every four months, telling it I'll be back when I reach my 80's, a little over two and half decades from now. Of course that depends on whether John ever produces a trike. Our GTT keeps the Windcheetah company since my wife has decided to solo on her trike.

The Windcheetah was a bundle

The Windcheetah was a bundle of fun - but I couldn't get it to climb with any speed. It was fast on the flat, and bonkers downhill - but a grind heading upwards. Comfortable 'cockpit', and my first introduction to seeing the world in widescreen from being laid back.

Looking for something higher and that climbs better - that's the deal breaker for me in Yorkshire (where this years 'grand depart' was held in the TDF this year), if I can hold my own on the hills then the rest will follow... Vendetta owners please chip in with your hill stories - I live on 10% gradient!
