Yeah it seems to be a bust, I'll try a few things different next week and see if I can get it smoother

I had some Zwift issue and it would not let me join the event even though I was registered. I kept trying to click "join event" button, but it just would not take me there. I quit Zwift and restarted it, but I guess it does not let you join once it has officially started, even though we had a 9 minute hold. I just went over to Lollipop and did the TT there - got a 26:55 on 4.o W/Kg - so much better result with TT bike than my test on Monday.

ALways join with at least 5 mins to start so if you have any issues you have at least 4 mins to restart the app. once the event starts you can no longer join the pen no matter what your wait time was.

Lots of things happening at the same timeand now lots of thoughts. I was monitoring the Bees, ATP, Flamingos and unicorns at the same time while trying to capture the audio. It was a hoot but I'm afraid I didn't do a very good job. I'll try to piece it all together tomorrow but here is a link some of the bees race. If you look at the top left side of the screen you will see the team members were talking but I didn't have the sound on the livestream because Connie was racing with the Flamingos while Jasons team was also talking over the TV. I do have their commo on my recorded version. Perhaps I can pull some of it tomorrow.

The Bees rode hard and stayed tight but they needed Larry who once again failed to get past the start line to keep the Wolves from picking them off. Oh well who says recumbents can't sprint. Watch Ben turn the numbers orange at the finish! link: https://mixer.com/zwiftteammoose?vod=JLXGsCY8REGjDxhf1aM5Ng

This was a lot of fun watching. I've got a few ideas and will be asking for the Tribes help tomorrow. Stay tuned.

That is pretty neat. Without someone commentating to tell what I am looking at I found it a little difficult to follow the action as it flips between views. I had to watch the finish a bunch of times to figure out what you meant by “turn it orange” (high watt/kg that zwift turns the text orange if very high then red if very very high then possible disqualification after the race if unbelievably high or for unbelievably long duration.)

The orange @trplay noted was the end of final sprint when my w/kg was maxed out. Over the last 45 s my power was a straight line slope from 225w to 516w. I didn’t feel like I had anything left but xert said there was some left in the tank so I went for it. Got beat at the line but said strong right through the line.
A good race. Wish Larry could have made it - we would have those got pesky wolves. :D

Ben don't worry about being beat at the line. I believe you were beaten by a USAC crit National champion? Your Bee team is tough but its in an extremely tough Division. Ya'lls progression from Latte to Frappe and now continuing moving up the Frappe ladder is impressive! You gotta have those 8 riders.

Who says zwifting isn't just like real racing? Last night Larry crashed again at the start gate. What more proof does one need?

No worries. I don’t mind being beat at the line. I am actually pleasantly surprised that I can be in contention at all. Though I have some advantages in age over some of you my experience racing is pretty limited.

That seems nice and smooth and watchable.

Is there a lag between the Zwift power and the Xert power display? Did you prepare target intervals for the Xert workout or how does that work? Having different parts of the screen in different places (for example the slope bit front and centre) did you set that up and is it something I can do too? Zwift hacks maybe - what would I search for? How do you use the Xert display in game?

Lots of wondering in my world tonight.

I can only get the Xert app to work if it's running its own workout, so I just don't let it control my trainer and I ignore it's workout zone call outs. I also have no idea why it was so lagged and updating only every 5 or so seconds, I'm probably going to cut out the rest of the graph and just show the MPA in the future. Look up OBS and what it can do but it should be noted I don't see any of these widgets in game, they are only on the stream for the viewers.

Thank you. I had the same experience with needing to have an Xert workout running. It didn't lag for me last night but did have a larger smoothing interval. Last night was the first time I have been able to get it to work - that MPA gauge seems pretty interesting. I'm definitely going to play with it.

So when I went back and tried to watch my failed TTT stream it seemed about the time I really started to feel like I was on the limit was when the MPA get to around 700 which it like 65-70% for me. Today in the other stream I posted you can see me blow up when I get to the 600's. Today was a shorter hard effort on tired legs but now I'm starting to build a baseline. I wouldn't compare people's values to your own though because each person's starting number will vary. I'm thinking a rider who has a start number of say 7-800 can probably get down into the 4-500 before they pop.

My race last night saw me starting with MPA of around 700 and getting down to mid 200s very close to crashing out. That was on very fresh legs an easy week and probably not enough racing for Cert to have quite accurate maximum numbers to work with. That was earlier in the TTT - at the final sprint I felt pretty maxed out but I was only down to maybe 400s? I wish I recorded so I could look back and check these things. My memory is questionable at the best of times let aline on oxygen deprivation.
