DIY Double Power Grips

I improvised Double Power Grips pedal with recycled "V" ribbed engine drive belts and pieces of steel.
Here are the photos to show the idea.
I think gripping of the pedal is essential for recumbent bicycle. And I like Power Grips because they give me the effect of clipless pedals and toe clips, but I can remove my feet instantly in emergencies.
My old ones are single sided and with a weight to keep the correct side always towards me. These upgraded new ones are double-sided.

Hi Giloun,
Impressive! Could the same be done with aluminum bar instead? in the 87kb file it shows 6 bars. I am only seeing one on each side of each pedal for a total of 4 bars used for this project? Did I miss something?

Sorry for the confusion. Yes, 1 bar on each side of the pedal. The two extra bars you see are for another pair of pedal which I was upgrading from single-sided Power Grips to double-sided.
