I've loitered long enough.....

Thanks everyone for the patience and advice :D

V20C Frame kit ordered and was shipped today.

Sram Rival Etap groupset. Took me a while to find one, but found and ordered, 2 weeks out with power meter.... (Yep - this is 100% a 'want', but since I was spending big $$ anyhow). Lots of random parts to do everything, including longer rear brake lines....

One thing I cheaped out on - wheels. I got a brand new set of DT Swiss Aluminum wheels from a guy who took off a new bike - so they are 'ok-ish'. But, they were super cheap, and will get me rolling. I have an EZ-Disc cover I may be able to adapt, otherwise, this is a holdover until I can get a decent set, maybe Zipp or something else. I could also do with losing a few lb's first before I spend big $$$ on carbon wheels... This also keeps the whole build slightly more reasonable for now :D.

Anyhow, photos will come when setup, probably 2 weeks away at this point, plus time waiting for whatever part I forgot to order, because despite having many bikes in my time, I guarantee I forgot something, and it will be the one thing I don't have three spares of in the basement :)

Thanks again for all the help :D

Glad to hear Piston9. Looking forward to the updates on your V20C here, and your experiences with it. Cheapish wheels are a good way to go in the beginning so you don't damage the good wheels in any mishaps.

If I may offer a piece of advice, wax the frame with a few coats before you assemble it. It doesn't take long, and it makes cleaning it so much easier with a simple hose. Whatever you get stuck to the wax will come off WAAAAY more easily, protecting the frame and paint job. A decent automotive wax will work, but I had a can of Collinite 885 wax that works wonderfully. It took me less than an hour to put 3 coats and I touch it up every 6 months or so.
