Look, I get it — This board has its share of skeptics and critics. Some folks think CVRT is just for racers or that virtual riding isn’t “real” riding. But here’s the reality: Zwift isn’t about replacing outdoor rides or turning everyone into racers. It’s about showing up, riding together, and building momentum where it counts.

On Zwift, recumbent riders aren’t isolated or invisible. We’re visible. We ride hard when we want to, and we just enjoy the company when we don’t. Weekly Team Time Trials give us a chance to race and prove ourselves, sure — but just as important are the regular group rides where we connect, chat, and share the simple joy of riding together.

This is quietly one of the most effective ways to keep a stagnant recumbent scene alive and growing. So before writing us off, maybe give CVRT a look. It might be exactly what you are looking for.

I'm looking to be safe- and being in the house seems to be the best way. Even on the cruzbike- people seem to think they can run you over.

"CVRT stands for Cruzbike Virtual Race Team. We're well established in the Zwift community—a team that began with recumbent riders but now welcomes anyone who wants to train, race, and have fun on Zwift, no matter what kind of bike you ride. If you're looking for motivation when the weather turns bad (or even when it's good!), you're in the right place."
