eBay Description:

Cruzbike Carbon Full Disc Rear Wheel - Through Axle, Tubeless - 700 Miles - Excellent Condition

For sale is a used Carbon Fiber Full Disc Rear Wheel specifically designed for Cruzbike recumbent bikes (compatible with V20c through-axle and S40 models).

Key Features:

  • Full carbon fiber disc construction — maximizes aerodynamics, especially beneficial on recumbents like the Cruzbike where the rear wheel can help fair the rider's wake.
  • 12mm through-axle compatible.
  • Tubeless compatible rim.
  • Originally purchased directly from Cruzbike headquarters (small limited run ordered in 2022).
This wheel was bought new from the official Cruzbike forum group buy for approximately $995. It has been gently used with only 700 miles on it. It is in excellent condition with no damage, cracks, or delamination. The carbon surface is clean and shows only very light wear consistent with normal road use.

Condition:

  • Used, low mileage (700 miles)
  • No issues — rides straight and true
  • Ready to install and ride

Great opportunity to get a premium aero disc wheel for your Cruzbike! These are relatively rare and were a limited small-batch order.

Payment & Shipping:
  • Payment via eBay
  • Shipping: Carefully packed and shipped within the US (buyer pays actual shipping cost).

Feel free to message me with any questions. Serious buyers only — no returns on wheels due to safety/shipping considerations, but happy to answer questions or provide more photos.

Larry, he's got an eBay link to it in the ad. Bidding starts at $1000 and the buy it now is $1500. Cruzbike originally sold them for around $1000. Any chance they might start selling them again?

I kind of douby it, and even at $1000 it is kind of pricey for me
I had one and tried to user it without rimtape and it blew the sides out.
Cheaper option is to just cover a nice 70 or 80mm wheel with plastic cover - and then you can remove it quickly if it is too windy.

I have one of these (not for sale), purchased from Cruzbike when I was a stronger rider and was snagging KOMs. I did the first 2/3 of the Calvin’s Challenge last week then switched back to my Zipp 303 after the rain & wind whipped up. I think the 25 mm tires with TPU tubes were too small for the road conditions, I’ll try again with a 28 tire.

BTW, I measured 27.7 mm OD 15.3 mm ID with hooked rims.
