I have heard, I have read and dreamed about this bike. New 2025 gen 6 frame and all the components I wanted.
So now I want to sell it?
Bottom line, my lack of balance, age maybe (70 young) or maybe falling off my upright bike
last year and breaking my leg didn't help, (99.5% recovered).
I unfortunately can not ride this as much as I have tried.

I did put the front section together to the frame myself.
All components were assembly to the frame and fine tuned by my local bike shop.
Cruzbike S40 Gen 6 Frameset with head rest
Wheel Set - Forge + Bond F+B CR45 Disc/XDR/Center Lock
(Have since went bankrupt)
Tires - 700x32 Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR (Tubeless)
Sram Force AXS Wireless Shifters, Rear Derailer, Charger, Brake Calipers,
160mm Centerline X Brake Rotors & 10-44t Cassette
Crankset - Rotor Vegast 1x42t ovel Ring, 165mm Arms & Bottom Bracket

I'm firm on $6800.
I could travel 2 hours form Washington, Mi. for pickup.
I have original boxes for frame & wheelset to shipping.
Buyer to cover cost.

I ride with an interested party currently riding a Bacchetta who is thinking of switching to the S40 Cruzbike. Is this bike still available for purchase?

Hello Mr D.... sorry to hear that you were not able to get comfortable on your (lovely) S40.... you mention your age. I am a little younger (69 and 9/12ths) and have been pondering moving to a Cruz... I spend most of my time on a Nazca Gaucho (rear drive recumbent) and am now a bit concerned that If/when I pull the trigger and get a Cruz (still waffling on the model) if I will have a larger learning curve than I can overcome.

Had you tried, ridden recumbents before going to the S40?

Appreciate your thoughts,

I am 70. I ride a Quest 2.0. It took about 500-1000 miles to feel really comfortable. The nice thing about the older Cruzbike is they have drop out axle frames and for $500 (Bafang) you can set up a motor. The motor really helps iron out the difficulties until you can get you body/nervous system acclimated. I would recommend motorizing this bike before giving up but there is only one thru axle solution for the rear wheel, (Grin) and that costs $2000. FYI: your price is probably about $2000 high based on what I have seen these bikes going for. It is a nice bike so you might get $4500. A new one is $4900. You can rarely get your money back selling used no matter how little used. Good luck in your sale.

I agree with the resale sentiments. I bought a trek fuel 9.9pro edition for 6k & it was an 8k setup. Got it during a winter sale. Lost a job in march and had only ridden it three short rides on some early pre spring weather in WI. So ony had about 30 miles on it and tried selling it for 5.5k nobody would buy and offers were 2.5k at most. So l still own it. I did drop it to 4.5k a few months later but still couldn’t sell it.
Interested in your bike but not sure l can afford it as l just retired @ 58 because of stage 2 high blood pressure and a bunch of other physical ailments. So may hay to at least wait till l am 59 1/2 to use pension money, as l am just living off all the overtime money l made in the past couple years.

I still have a trike in my garage because I refused to sell it for less than half of what I paid for it, and my wife might (?) ride it sometime.
Sounds like the OP did sell their S40.

Rob, sorry to hear about your situation. I'm guessing that overtime might be partly responsible for your blood pressure. I know when I was working overtime, I gained 6 pounds in 3 months. The good news is being retired you can focus on your health, get up and walk every hour, get at least 5000 steps a day, make your own food instead of eating out, etc. I'm close to your age and just retired, thankfully under better conditions, my job now is to lose some weight and gain strength (the latter is easier).
