Today I got tired of my Thor seat sitting around the garage collecting dust. I wanted to install it on my Silvio 1.0 but I couldn't bring myself to saw off the original seat and potentially destroy the bike when I wasn't certain I could get the new one mounted nicely. So I decided to install it...
I've been riding electric Cruzbikes for over 10 years. Just for fun I put a BBS02 mid drive motor on a Sofrider once and although it worked it wasn't great. The efficiency was equivalent to a rear geared hub motor which I much prefer. The geared hub motor in the rear is the perfect solution for...
Excellent, definitely interested, but I'm not fully decided on a Thor. Why do people use Thor seats instead of CruzBike ones? Is it simply that they're so much cheaper, or are there some other advantages? What size is it? I would want a medium Sport.
I'm also considering a Thor seat since they're so much cheaper. Hadn't heard of them until this thread. I'm planning on cutting off most the seat from my Silvio 1.0 and mounting a removable carbon one for better packing and hopefully a bit more comfort.
I just had some more time on a Silvio with one of these and I decided I definitely want one. Feels both more comfortable and faster for me. I think these are long ago out of stock from Cruzbike, so hoping someone has one who isn't using it.
I'm thinking about doing RAGBRAI this year. I haven't committed yet and don't have transportation plans though. I'm guessing there's a chance it could be canceled anyways.
Saw someone on a black CruzBike (S30 I think) coming up Tunnel Rd yesterday in East Bay hills, Sunday 29th. I was going down the other way on a Silvio :)

Wow has anybody here actually done this or have you heard of someone doing this and how it worked out? I'm thinking about something like this, but I think I'd need that seat modification to fit in this bag https://www.orucase.com/products/b2?variant=29128838905909
When I packed up my Silvio I...
