I removed the two tubes from the frame. Used a Velcro patch shaped to cover end of the frame and the two openings. The seat provides protection for the Velcro.

I have a 2015 Red Vendetta that I purchased from Cruzbike as a frame set. I assembled the bike without washers on either side of the pivot clamp. I downloaded the assembly instructions on January 4, 2015. The use of washers was not mentioned.

If the pedals from your old bike allow you to clip in you are going to like the experience.

Just staying with the same brand of chainring should avoid any incompatibilities.

I use a 50/34 chainring and find it provides plenty of low end for the hills I climb.
