Pivot/washers

Hello,

Could you advise: on Cruzbike Youtube video instructions I found that washers are mandatory on V20 pivot clamp, my V20 is old one, I found that no washers installed, should I add them, but on right side long sleeve there is a "nose" which prevents washer to be added, should I add on left side only or do not add at all?

Thanks for advises.

Interesting and I have same issue on my v20, having a difficult time finding correct size washers. On the long side I have two washers, but on the short side I have none. So on the short side my bolt is rubbing the pivot clamp.

I have a 2015 Red Vendetta that I purchased from Cruzbike as a frame set. I assembled the bike without washers on either side of the pivot clamp.
I downloaded the assembly instructions on January 4, 2015. The use of washers was not mentioned.

That is an older version pivot clamp bolt - before the new version. That one I believe was one that had a "keyed" bolt on one side to keep it from rotating. It was prone to getting frozen together as it has to be custom cut to length.

The new pivot bolt clamp uses three specific washers to provide the proper spacing.

Robert, can you advise what type/specifications BB to be installed on this old type v20? Don’t want disassemble, as it is ok so far.

It would be any that is a 68MM English Thread style - SRAM GXP style etc. If the chain stay is the style that has two separate clamps with two bolts each that hold it together to the shell itself (as opposed to the much much older version that had the one piece/one bolt clamp that clamped to a bottom bracket bearing shell) you can even use a square taper style.

Robert,

Is this BB screwed in or just fitted and fixed by clamps?
Thanks in advance.
