I recently replaced the throttle, controller, and battery holder on my old T50e. The wires from the new controller separated from the harness, so I decided to solder them individually, and I must have done it correctly because everything works fine now. Here is the color pattern of the wires...
In between the first GCN video and this one, the bike has been borrowed by a very tall rider who needed the extra-long chainstay. I agree, the chainstay was too long for Hank. But moreover, he needed to practice a lot more on the bike before tackling such a tough route. We had no control of what...
Yesterday I put up a Youtube video with this description:
We call it the "push-me-pull-you", made by friends of ours who like to make stuff. We donated two T50s and got this back on loan. It's quite fun to ride. Maria loves the clear view to the rear, looking straight into the eyes of...
Hi Bill, I am pretty sure that you will need the Croder BB, but I would check with Croder. We sell the Spirit modular crankset with the Croder BB to make sure everything is compatible. You can absolutely use our crankset for a 2x system. Just order an 8-bolt spider and the rings that you want...
Regarding BB wrenches for the Croder BBs, your local bike shop should have the correct wrench. If you like to do your own installation here are specific recommendations for affordable wrenches that are compatible:
This one works for the T47 BB (V20c):
ZTTO Special BB Wrench Aluminum Alloy BB...
We've had a 50% increase in website traffic since the GCN video dropped. That hasn't yet translated to sales, but I'm sure the sales will eventually follow. Thanks for being a great ambassador for Cruzbike!
Cruzbike recently ordered a quantity of high quality short cranks made by Croder Cycling in Taiwan. These are now listed for sale on our website.
We have been looking for high quality lightweight 145mm cranks for many years, and then came across these cranks at the big bicycle show in Taipei...
The stock seat is a bit more aero than the CF adjustable seat. Anything that sits you up higher into clean air is going to increase drag. It may be worth it if you are more comfortable. In other words, the ergonomic gain may be worth the aerodynamic cost.
Thanks, Larry. I already have too many subscription services, so I will stick with my spreadsheet. It's free and I know how to use it. I might take you up on the offer to spend some aero-testing time at Technology Circle.
Now, for the latest testing results: Maria and I did a simultaneous 8...
I like that battery placement. It's ideal. So Grin makes a hub motor that is thru-axle compatible. That's great to know. That looks like a super fun bike!
Maria and I went out for a 40 mile training ride this morning, including four out-and-back laps on the "Tropical Trail" which is a beautiful road that is only a few meters from the Indian River on the Space Coast of Florida. Maria started out with a stock rear wheel, and I started out with a...
Hi Flakkjacket, This pannier fits the S40 rack perfectly. It just hit our warehouse. If you don't see it on our accessory page, directly search for "Everyday pannoer" on our website. -Jim
Other than the trademark violation, these might work very well! I sent inquiries to multiple Chinese companies about making short cranks several years ago. Maybe this is the result.
The Vendetta is not just for racing. For those who find the V20/V20c their go-to bike for commuting or long leisurely trips, there is naturally an interest in carrying stuff on a rear rack with or without panniers. There is a good thread about this here. Another option is to use the S40 rear...
