Boy, are you asking the wrong Boy, are you asking the wrong crowd for an unbiased answer. :) Heck, yes. I've got more mikes on my Cruzbikes than I've put on anything else in years, so I'm biased (and I'm slow on everything), but I outclimb on my Cruzbikes compared to ask of my others. And...

    Uphill Battle

What Rick said. You need to What Rick said. You need to get used to riding it and it gets easier. I can now crawl up steep hills at less than 3 mph in a straight line. The only other thing I can think of: is your Sofrider geared low enough? Standard is a small chainring of 34 teeth. My...

When you feel like you're When you feel like you're losing control, take your feet off of the pedals and let your arms take over. You won't need to do this for very long, but it's very helpful in the beginning.

I agree with many of the I agree with many of the comments here, but most importantly, I agree with Bob as far as the bottom line goes. Cruzbike is a small company and needs to make sure they pay attention to their bottom line. (I, too, think the old boom looked better). I think it will...

    Converting to 24-speed

I very much think the I very much think the Sofrider needs a triple. I used a 68x123 mm square taper bottom bracket and a Shimano triple and it was very easy going (I did use a hair dryer to warm up the bottom bracket to make it easier to unscrew)...

    Touring

David Byrne rode his Sofrider David Byrne rode his Sofrider around the world. It's worth taking a look at his blog which details how he mounted things. As far as the bottom seat pad, it's definitely too thin if you're riding relatively upright The further back you lean, the less it matters.

    Front Disc Wheel

I would think (but have no I would think (but have no experience) that putting a front disk wheel on a Vendetta would be better than putting a front disk wheel on a 700c RWD bent as you have your legs to help hold it. All that being said, as Jim and Maria have both ridden with them, their...
