    We have another spammer

There is now, in 2013 when I posted this, not so much.

Haha, that confusion has come up before, hasn't it...

    We have another spammer

Hey Bob, not sure how to read that sentence... I have been using the Report button in the new forum (although it seems to have been ignored in one case so far), had not noticed Ignore.

    Silvio seat

I must be the only person happy with the stock Silvio 2.0 seat and pads (basically the same as the S30 seat). I did my first 100 mile ride last Fall (over 7 hours in the seat, pretty much continuous) and had no pain anywhere. When I got home I was just tired from pedaling.

First and second flat, same ride

Did you find the location/shape of the holes in the tube?

    Need a Silvio right brifter

    Need a Silvio right brifter

Sounds like a candidate for Bob's bullhorn brifter setup.

    Tweener Bars on Softrider

Interesting, looks almost like an under seat steering position.

    Club rides

According to Strava, I have over 1000 miles on my Silvio, the vast majority last summer/fall. I feel perfectly comfortable on the bike, except as I mentioned on long and steep hills where my speed gets very low, and I have improved a lot there. I could try learning new skills, like launching in...

    Club rides

If I ever need additional low speed stability on the Silvio, for example in traffic, I just sit up and then my balance greatly improves. I sit up every time I stop/start, not sure if other Silvio or Vendetta riders do that but it works well for me and I feel no need to launch from a reclined...

    Vendetta finally tested

Agreed, Strava has been fun since I joined and I really only compete with myself on there.

    Sofrider - $725 - O'fallon, IL

Looks like a conversion kit with the V2/K frame.

If you like the Quest and you can afford a Silvio or Vendetta -- yes, I'm afraid there's no avoiding it. I went from a Sofrider to a Silvio myself.

    New Vendetta V20

Don't get me wrong, I very much appreciate the forum overhaul, and I think the photo uploading is a lot easier than it used to be, but there's always room for improvement somewhere. (Also I'm not sure the forum is such a side thing, it seems very comforting to new buyers.)

    New Vendetta V20

A friendlier forum would let you upload an image larger than 1MB, then downsize/recompress it on the server for storage, instead of putting the burden on the user. Ah well.

    Vendetta finally tested

If anyone wants to compete for lowest average speed -- I'm in!

    Vendetta finally tested

Yes -- I believe the seat angle changed with the 2.0 model (looking for a reference...), not with the v20. The angle on the Silvio S30 is rounded up from 27.

    Vendetta finally tested

I'm fairly sure the seat angle changed with the 2.0.

Spring is HERE!! lets see your RIDE!!

After procrastinating all April I finally hit the road/bike path today. The bike feels so familiar, it's like I haven't been off of it for five months, except for the burning in my legs reminding me that I am now completely out of shape. It would be nice to keep enjoying the bike as-is, but...

    New Vendetta V20

Hi Abbott, what a day! This is the chain that you said was "skipping" earlier? Did you resolve that before the break, and did you double check that the quick link was fully engaged/locked?
