Quest 451 v2.0 and v3.0 - which are the differences?

But of course... Hi John, The odds of you exhausing the stock of the 451 v2 and 559 v2 and exactly the same time seem kind of small. It makes perfect sense to me that there would be such a transition period. :D Cheers, Charles

Quest 451 v2.0 and v3.0 - which are the differences?

Well, hmmph. again. I'm going Well, hmmph. again. I'm going to guess that the Quest 3 451 is really the left over Quest 2 451... Dunno. Good question. O.k. As I'm clearly not adding anything of substance to this conversation, bye bye. :D

Quest 451 v2.0 and v3.0 - which are the differences?

Well, hmmph. I'm assuming Well, hmmph. I'm assuming that none of the Quest 3s have front suspension. That being said, on the Quest 3.0 page, it still lists extra stiff spring for the fork...

    Aero wheels

The importance of weight is And the weight and average speed of the rider. Throwing an extra two pounds doesn't bother me much, but Maria might notice it. And somebody who has an average speed of 20 mph will benefit more from the aero effects than, say, me. :D For RAAM, it makes...

Hi, I highly recommend Kim's Hi, I highly recommend Kim's videos (that he posted above). Watch them now and then watch them before getting the bike. I spent 30 minutes in my (very long) driveway and then I was ready for (very quiet) roads. I have a unsubstantiated theory that says...

First "Real" Group Ride on a Silvio

Most clubs group riders by Most clubs group riders by average speed. This works well enough in most cases, but not so well for me: I find that there's a large mismatch between my speeds and that of DF with the same average. I'm slower climbing the hills and then I'm stuck at the back of...

Chain coming off e-ring of Quest 2

Hi Jeff, I probably should Hi Jeff, I probably should have suggested the slightly more expensive bottom bracket - if I had to do it again, I'd do that too (although I've had zero problems with the one I got). Glad it worked out for you. :D Cheers, Charles

    My Pine Conversion

Hi, I'd definitely recommend Hi, I'd definitely recommend posting this over at 'Bent Riders Online, too. If you could figure out how to support a head-tube in aluminum, you could also make a aluminum-only version as well that would probably be lighter. As it is, I wonder if the wood...

Chain coming off e-ring of Quest 2

Given that the chain always Given that the chain always falls of on the inside, you coud try an N-Gear Jumpstop. I use these on both of my Cruzbikes (because my granny gear is so much smaler than my middle gear). You can adjust it so that is right up to the chain but doesn't touch it when...

Chain ring guards: good or bad??

Hi CS, I don't see any reason Hi CS, I don't see any reason why they'd be bad (and I can understand not wanting to stab people with the large chain ring). I had one on my Sofrider until I, err, well, fell over into the dirt and it cracked (mine was plastic).

Bike Friday Family Tandem -> 2 wheel drive IPS Cruzbike tandem?

I don't see any reason why I don't see any reason why the front shouldn't convert just fine. You can even imagine putting on a second Cruzbike seat in the back and having the stoker use the original crankset for the pilot. I'm not convinced that would work, but it might (and it would be...

Salut Laurent, C'est Salut Laurent, C'est fantastique! I've seen other Sofriders eletrified before. It makes sense to me because you can electrify the rear wheel and not have to worry about interference with the human powered drive train. And I am not good at starting on steep hills...
