    Hydration while riding the V20

bill just do a forum search on “ hydration”. Heaps of info. I use a bladder with either a retractable lanyard from office works etc or magnetic coupler.

    Hydration while riding the V20

I'm a relatively new V20 rider (~640 miles so far). I've got a Race Case on the back and a water bottle bracket under the seat but I'm nowhere near coordinated enough (yet?) to access those while riding. I tried removing the rubber retaining bits from the Race Case and put a hydration pack...

Suggested Thru axle Option for V20, S30, Q45, to stop chain stay and fork separation.

That is what I do on the V20. I have a bolted CF sheet platform that comes off the adjustable Perez Clamp tubes/headrest. Just like you, I have two aero bottles either side with 5/16" ID vinyl tube and right-angle water valve bite fittings. Those are secondary bottles for rides over 100 miles...

My Very First Recumbent is a V20

I planned on doing about 100km today but after about 35-40km my headrest fell off. I backtracked to pick it up and even found both screws. As you can see, I glued it back on after it fell off the first time. I stopped the ride and went to the DIY store to see if I could come up with...

Bag for carrying camelbak water bladder?

Hello again everyone, any recommendations for a small, aero (behind the headrest) bag that can carry a water bladder that I can run to my shoulder, and some ideas on builds? I'd also like a small amount of room for my wallet, keys, and a couple of tools. Thanks!

    Cruzbike Time Trial Challenge 2020

...perhaps and 25 mm probably helps) but my chain flew off and I broke some heavy zip ties that were holding up my homemade head fairing/water bladder behind the headrest so it fell down onto the back wheel. I was thirty miles out on a 70 mile ride. Luckily I was able to fix it with parachord I...

    Large Panniers recommendations?

FYI, I believe the stats listed above are for a single Vaude Aqua Back pannier, rather than a pair of bags. Capt_mc, do you have a sense of how big of big bags you're looking for? The largest panniers I'm aware of for recumbents will be bags made specifically for recumbents. For example...

    Large Panniers recommendations?

Thanks for the tip. I will go online and check them out. Have you been touring on your Q45?

    Large Panniers recommendations?

I am using Vaude Aqua Back. According to manufacturer's info: Weight: 970 g Volume: 24 l Dimensions: 37 x 33 x 19 cm Max. load weight: 12 kg Very good quality and water proof. Except that the inside pocket for water bladder broke at the hems after some months of use.

    Cruzbike Time Trial Challenge 2020

...guide back to lead/guide the chain mostly for bumpy road surfaces, works fine. We had a fun 75-miler that ended in 95 degree heat. I have improved my pressurized/thermally insulated water bladder so that the water was still cool after that four hour hot ride with no re-loading. Tinkering is fun.

    New race case?

...use on electric scooters that is larger, more weather-tight (still not really waterproof), is easier to get into, more easily holds a water bladder, holds the load lower, doesn't interfere with the optional suspension headrest and, surprisingly, doesn't look too awful. What I'd really like...

Pretty amazing Bill - what kind of speed delta are you seeing with these mods? Do you notice any steering issues when big trucks pass?

...seat so I put a flat plate back there to redirect the flow aft and that reduced the drag more. All that foam on the plate is for my 2L water bladder. It is insulated and spring loaded with a bungy cord. I still have cold water after a long hot ride. I ride with the side aero bottles empty...

An S40 update 350 miles in

Yes, that is it, and the brake levers point aft instead of ~down. Very much dueling pistols with the thumb upward on the striker. Not for everyone but works for me. I break by pitching my wrist down/back and squeezing between the handlebar and the levers. Shifting is done with the palm near the...

storing and eating/drinkin for long rides (100+ miles) on Silvio or Vendetta

Jond, could you take a photo of the frame only on the bike, as photo is worth a 1,000 words, and in your case 10,000 words! What is the weight of the frame, the bag(?? L) and the empty bladder (2L??) The reason I ask is that my 2 off 1.4 L Nalgene bottles weight 412 gms, and the 2 bottle...

storing and eating/drinkin for long rides (100+ miles) on Silvio or Vendetta

I have the radical design bag. Yes it’s a quality product with ykk metal zip external pocket for bidon and reinforced base..... but is simply not as good a design as brain box with its bladder space Velcro pocket etc. plus cheaper. I’ll take a picture of bracket.

storing and eating/drinkin for long rides (100+ miles) on Silvio or Vendetta

...I have on my Giro. It holds a lot of stuff, but not a lot of heavy stuff, is surprisingly inexpensive, easy on & off, has space for a water bladder, looks good and might even help with aerodynamics. If I was buying a similar brain box type bag today I'd probably aim for a smaller, higher...

storing and eating/drinkin for long rides (100+ miles) on Silvio or Vendetta

Go to page 2 for a pic. Aluminium flat bar frame very light and looks good. I reckon. Aero and great for long fast rides.

...day's worth of essentials in a convenient way. The Bacchetta Brain Box on my Giro A20 has plenty of carrying capacity, has a spot for a water bladder, easily goes on or off and doesn't hang out in the wind. I've seen attempts to mount this type of bag to the Cruzbike seat using chunks of...
