So you want to train with power on a budget?

Yes --- but ..... , even though they say they have " no limits", they appear to be "limiting" the crank lengths from 165-180mm. What gives. How hard can it be to let the device "do the math" for whatever crank length you have. That blow me out of the water as a user of 140mm cranks - Heck I was...

So you want to train with power on a budget?

Gary, I have the powertap (GL+) wheel on loan from my dentist. She uses Quark now and does not need it. Maybe she would sell you the hub cheap and you could have it upgraded to G3 version. I was thinking of doing it, but would also either need to use the wheel it is on, or have your wheel re-built.

    Testing crank length and Helmets

Hey Martinius, please tell me (or better yet show me with a video clip) how this visor moves us on the helmet. I can't figure it out, and it came with no instructions. Taking it totaling off is not an easy task, so I hope sliding it up is better. It does not appear to "open" like you would...

    Testing crank length and Helmets

Recovery day, so I took the opportunity to do some more testing: All testing done with 88mm wheel on front. 60mm on rear, power at 155 watts, 3 mile testing on 1/4 mile oval track. I put a set of 170mm cranks back on my V20, and calibrated them to 170 on the Garmin = lap 2 Then I re-calibrated...

Boom is impossible to slide up or down

Since the slider is most likely "stuck" in the boom down where it curves: Once you get it apart, if you need it shorter, then measure and cut the "slider" off so it is at least a couple inches from where the boom started it's curve, and you should be OK! If you need it longer, then you are...

    Vendetta TT - SOLD

There is basically an un-spoken agreement between not to let anyone sell a V until they have exhausted all other avenues, and then some! :) Keep trying to work it out - you will not regret it!

Boom is impossible to slide up or down

Twisting it will more likely break it loose than trying to pull on it. Which is what BentAero was also trying to get you to do. The slider tube was most likely pushed down into the boom tube so far that it just go stuck. Hopefully it is not rusted shut, as that would be hard to fix. But it is...

    Silvio transport

I did the un-thinkable today. After riding in the morning, I mounted my V on the SportWing, pulled the top straps over the tires, but forgot to velco the frame to the SportWing frame members. Wow - drove to an appointment and notice the bike just "dangling" there on the hooks. Took my breath...

This is what I do on Saturday Morning...

The real truth is, I usually have so much to do on Saturday, (I have a cushy IT job, in that I only work M-F), that I need to be back home by about 10:30 at the latest, so if I want to get a 4-hour ride in, I have to start at 6am! But yes, I do sleep less than most. Hardly ever to bed or asleep...
