    Amateur aerodynamics

So put them on your bike; look cool when parked. Then when you challenge someone to a race you offer to remove them to keep it fair...

    Mount rear brake upstairs?

I was able to get SRAM Force "pre-22" to fit the upper position but I had to make a special 90 degree cable out some extra stiff cable house and a rubber frame protector. The 6800 work much better over all, but still has somewhat tight fit, but it has the best braking force I've tried from a...

    Change crank length

Hi Jim, Yes the Bottom Bracket that ships with the bike is Square Taper so any compatible arms will work. You can also change out the BB to anything that is BSA68 threaded. On one quest I've pulled the Square Taper and replaced it with GXP and it works fine.

It's me with the unridden Vendetta again.

Bang on, I have learned more about my riding techniques from teaching and watching others than I have from anything I did myself, struggles very much encourage the "well... why the heck did that happen; what's the root cause" process more than anything else.

    Recommendations on lighting

Cliff, If you ride at other people a lot; use a piece of black electric tape to cover the top ⅓ of your lens and test. If that works better then use a sharpie to black out that upper third. There is no "cut off" on the Cygolite's and that's what is blinding people. They were designed for night...

If you want to be out on the milk roads in these parts at night; Design Shine or Dinoette; that will let you travel at most any speed. For simply being seen and moving moderate speeds; their are numerous options... Might be worth a trip over to see me to look at the design shine stuff in person...

    Rigging Aero Bag on Vendetta

On a Silvio you can mount below the bend and the carrying capacity would be higher. On the Vendetta that won't clear the tire; but the Vendetta's not really a pack mule anyhow :)

    Rigging Aero Bag on Vendetta

Prototype used Plastic toppeaks arms in 2014. The final design that you can buy is all metal, and logged over 4000 miles on this summer 2015 on 3 bikes. It should be more than fine to do as Bruce did. The headrest bar itself is more likely to fail than the bracket from too much weight. Since...

Best options for 28mm tires on the Vendetta?

Michelin A1 Aircomp Vittoria Latex Tube For deep v rims you can expect to need stem extenders.

Best options for 28mm tires on the Vendetta?

Positives: 1) Better rolling resistance; well tested and well documented in the labs. Latex tubes are also what are in "sew in tires" aka Tubulars. 2) Better puncture resistance to thorn like items. 3) Better resistance to pinch flats Negative 1) Learning to mount them correctly is harder 2)...

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Bull horns or drops? If I recall (not a doctor) doesn't that injury come from a "death" grip on a golf club or tennis rack like item?

    Off-topic: Weekend Concert

Ah the little girls and big musical instruments warms my heart; ours plays the tuba, of course she's not that little anymore but that does bring back memories; thanks for sharing that, needed a good smile tonight.

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

Go away for 3 days and this is what I miss? These things are funny when then don't go horribly wrong. Here's to giving you crap about this for years to come. Personally I find it safer to just drive into the garage with a bike still on the roof. The only obstacle I need to avoid then is Ms. Ratz

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

Big gears help; oddly I can ride non-stop no handed pulling the trailer on the quest. Without the Drag of the trailer it's a much short 100 yards or so.

    Haters going to hate

My staff refers to that as "bob-bonics" I refer to it as a security check, if it's typo free and short, it's a fake message.....if it's long and typo free you are in really big trouble.
