    Sucess

Nice clean looking build! There's such a big gap between the seat back and the brace - to me it looks like the perfect spot to carry stuff. Azub makes a bag that fits there for one of their bikes (I think it's the folding 20/20 model). If I had a T50 I'd probably sew a bag to fit. (Sadly found...

    Sofrider V3 mods & touring

I've been enjoying my Sofrider V3 a lot, and thought I'd list my mods in one place in case the ideas might be useful to others. Sugino triple crankset (26/36/46) w. 165 mm cranks. I thought the stock crankset was geared too high and really wanted a triple. As I became more used to the MBB...

Has anybody mounted a different seat?

I meant to write sooner, but it's been busy.. Anyway, great tip about the spacer. I couldn't make that link work, but the idea was enough. I made 2" spacers between the seat halves - that was as long as they can be with the upper seat half on the original seat mount holes. It does help a bit...

Has anybody mounted a different seat?

I would also like to know if someone has mounted a more conventional hardshell seat. The CB seat is clever and all, but it's too short for me and uncomfortable on longer rides.

    Touring vs. racks vs. suspension

I'm getting more miles on the bike now - 40-50/week just from commuting, plus some longer weekend rides. Starting to feel pretty confident on the bike, and getting a feel for what works for me, what I want to change. I don't know what to do about rack and suspension - hoping your accumulated...

Front derailleur adjustment for tall riders

Problem solved... ish. I Problem solved... ish. I moved the derailleur further away from the crank about 1" and found I had lots of clearance. So I gradually moved it closer until the clearance is as small as seems prudent. I can run both large and small chain rings with no problem! The...

Front derailleur adjustment for tall riders

Eric - there's a lot of Eric - there's a lot of clearance when on the small ring. To be clear, the interference is on the underside of the derailleur (affected by derailleur mounting location) and not on the sides (affected by high/low adjustment screws). Andrew - I'll take a close look...

Front derailleur adjustment for tall riders

I can't be the first tall rider to have this problem, but I can't seem to find posts related to it either (sorry if my search mojo failed!) I'm 6'4" with long legs, and I have the TFT on my Sofrider extended a long way (around the 10 mark, but it looks like it could extend even further...

    Conversion kit being discontinued

http://cruzbike.com/goodbye-cruzbike-kit-sniffle-sniffle Anyone else see this yet? Clearly if I plan to build one, I need to get a move on and sell a bike to make room...

    Weight of conversion kit?

The conversion kit page does not list a weight for the kit: http://cruzbike.com/conversion-kit and although I've searched this forum I can't seem to find a clear answer. Has anyone weighed the kit? From what I've seen, the conversion will result in a very heavy bike (40 lbs not...

Unsuspended conversion vs. V2/K vs. Sofrider?

Hmm, the link to that Hmm, the link to that Rans conversion doesn't seem to work. Here's another picture on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/spincyclz/5989991856/in/set-72157620963688982/

Unsuspended conversion vs. V2/K vs. Sofrider?

Long time lurker, first time poster as they say.. I test rode a Quest 26, Quest 20, Sofrider and Vendetta at Nanda's Spincyclz a few months ago, and have been mulling it over since. Still haven't sold my other recumbent, but that hasn't stopped me from thinking about Cruzbikes [wink]...
