    Yet another V20 build

The front of the S30 and the V20 are basically the same. So if you combine that V2.0 manual with this one: http://cruzbike.com/sites/default/files/documentation/Silvio%20S30%20Assembly%20Notes%20version%202.2.pdf There is a thread here somewhere where larry posted the prototype instructions...

    It was a wonderful ride

Discovered this week end there is a pivot adjust on the back of the Air Attack; that lets it be worn in the forward position that we all use on the Vendetta. So apparently that's a support angle. Mine was "stuck" so I didn't even know it was there. Pivoted all the way forward, and correctly...

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

And here's the first video shot from the camera. Design Shine DS500 running in Flash mode 5 = Level 1 steady out with flashing triple pulses of level 3. Film with a Fly6 in camera only mode. The flashing makes it look like the light is out; but if you look at the cars that I go past you can...

    Shine on you crazy diamond

When your children's ages range across 2 decades that's almost forty years you have to go without swearing out loud at moments of frustration; so it's best to pre-figure things out and avoid the frustration all together.

    Shine on you crazy diamond

One thing about the Design Shine lights; there are ALOT of settings and picking which one to run and which batteries to grab and how many is a bit ummmmm daunting. So to make life easier I made a quick reference card. Printed it out and lamented into a double sided cheat sheet the size of a...

Catalyst Carbon covers. I've used the wheel builder ones and they are noisy. http://cruzbike.com/forum/threads/front-disc-wheel.7896/ and yep the electrical tape mounting works great; who knew.

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

Final debugging and it turned out pretty good. Debugging the water hoses without the head set pad in place. Decided to lower the bottle height bit. Notice the small magnet to hold the hose. Carabiner to pull the hose under the seat. Disassemble for head rest pad install. Strap the...

And that's why you kill off the suspension on the Silvio and poof we are there. 1 fork to rule them all. Perhaps keeping the suspension fork as a low volume paid upgrade. I bet that climbs pretty fast with the stiff front end and the upright position. I wonder what Larry could have done on...

There was a change but I think that was all that was said. The thing about Carbon is when you do small volumes you can do it good or your can do it cheap; I haven't really heard of a lot of people doing it good and cheap unless the volume was large, other than maybe Schlitter; and they found out...

    Beginners Pedaling Stroke

Down to 165mm you can pretty much go stock SRAM, Shimano, FSA etc. I'm partial to the 5 bolt pattern because it's interchangeable at the 110BCD and 130BCD size the Shimano 4 arm stuff, see the Silvetto Steve posted, is nice but then you are pretty much locked in; you can get Q-Ring but you...

Suspension on the fork is a carry over from the conversion kit days; when the y-foil style MTB frames made it all possible. MTB had front suspension so it carried forward. The Quest and Vendetta are suspension free now; and like Jeremy says that Silvio fork is expensive and heavy. Remove it; and...

New rider in Germany with some questions

I believe That means "inside" the pivot clamp the fork steam should end 3 mm before the top of the pivot clamp's edge. This gives enough space for the bolt you insert at the top to draw down the pivot clamp and get enough tightness to hold everything together. Without the gap when you tight the...

Clarity and pure fanciful speculation follows: Marlic got a high end day job and mothballed the bike operation That's a shame because they had an interesting front wheel drive bike ready to go. John Morciglio had some very interesting speculation outline on the value of zockra as a buy it up...

    Grabbed the GoPro and...

I can confirm that; but not on the older Vendetta boom. They are also heavy at quarter pound. Otherwise good; that's what I'm using to make a mount for my Fly6's which have to have the most BENT unfriendly mount ever.

    LOL My day job

Color coded by Server, Trunk and Vlan too. :p At 2am when you are moving stuff it's worth it to prevent errors. Otherwise the next day it's 600+ people screaming about email being down.

    Kaboom!

Best place to get the Q's is probably http://TwoHubs.com. It's not the discount link but they let you buy exactly the combination you want and they always have stock in the wide sizes gaps that you can't buy elsewhere like (52x34); in the end I found that to be less expensive than trying to...
