Cruzbike arms not centred on BB

Sorry for the confusion, the washer shown in the picture above is not a BB cup washer but I think it is a dust cap washer. It came with the Shimano Sora triple Crankset and the included BB at purchase. First I don't own a Vendetta. I have an S40 and a homemade MBB copy of a cruzbike. The BB...

T50 on YouTube: International Women's Day Populaire 107K

Interesting .. I think it 's a question of age. 2 wheeled recumbents would appeal more to the younger/middle aged (40s and 50s) who still have good balance and want to maintian good cornering speeds and maneuverability on open roads. Unfortunately this demographic has strong competition from...

Looks like I'm gonna be an S40 owner Friday!

Yeah! I also added a piece of lumbar support from a piece of form that was included in the S40 box. Iam quite comfortable on it. I need the neck rest . Even just for that slight feeling of support. I got too used to it , I guess. However, I had to modify mine with a a piece of PVC that I cut...

Looks like I'm gonna be an S40 owner Friday!

For my S40 seat, I replaced the form pad inside the cover and used a yoga mat pad instead. To get the right shape, I traced over the original pad and cut it. I also wanted to make the padding thinner. I found the stock pad too thick for my weight. I felt like I was "floating". I then extended...

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

I don't have a trainer at the moment. May be later if I find a friend willing to loan me one . For now, it's repeated road tests and strava segments.

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

May be I should have started a new thread on fitting but anyway here goes a long post: Another Update on my S40: So, I changed the crankset and chainring as earlier shared and then got slightly bigger shoes. First the Crankset: The 170mm cranks with a 48T chainring works well with the stock...

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

Thanks Billy. I must clarify that I don't think my hotfoot issue was cuased by the S40. I had been having the issue on my homemade recumbent too. Especially torwards the end of a long ride on a warm day. But it had become more pronounced lately and I was suspecting the shoes. Maybe the leather...

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

A little update on the My S40 crankset: As I had shared earlier, I have been ocassionally spinning out on the 42T that came stock with the S40. This was not an issue on solo rides but on a fast group ride or a race it was an issue. Recumbents are fast downhill and getting passed by roadbikes...

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

Thanks! No, it did not rain during the ride, but it was cloudy and cool. It was clean tarmac. Chain was clean and freshly waxed! I had no excuses to make. I just didn't perform to my full potential.

    Cruzbike S40 in Nairobi, Kenya!

My climbing speed has improved noticeably. But my downhill speed has not, probably because of the 1x gearing. My homemade bike was a bit faster downhill. I spin out occasionally on this 42T chainring. In this race, in particular, I spun out . I also got passed by a couple of road bikes...
