    Silvio with Tendon/Joint Problems?

I've had knee problems from time to time, but nothing that's aggrivated by the Silvio. As much as it might seem like you have to flex your knees to turn the bike, the knees just don't bend that way. The hips are what allow you to turn the bike and they are quite flexible in that direction. Mark

    Bike Heaven

Just hope you don't get prarie dogs in your front yard. I agree and hate to admit they are a pretty forward thinking city. I really, really hate to admit it and in fact, have friends from Colorado I would NEVER admit that to.  As a college football fan and native of...

    BROL - losing its gloss

I think (and this is just my opinion) Bryan feels like he killed RCN, so he brought BB on board to help keep BROL "fresh" all the time. If BROL was stale and it still killed RCN, then what was RCN? BB became a "legend" among the recumbent community because his rag was the only game in town...

    Aero Disc Covers

I can't help but imagine that a wheel cover and a Silvio would be a bad combination in a nasty crosswind. Mark

I'd think you might have to look at someplace like McMaster Carr. Mark

    Campagnolo Silvio Component bundle

I agree that Campy components seem to work really well on Silvios. That seems like a really fair price for the groupo. Mark

    Stealing a Cruzbike

For the most part, I think you are correct in that a thief would not be able to ride away on your bike. I have, however, seen people get on and ride the bike with ease. It seems rare, but not impossible. Mark

Test ride...Marc's conversion finally rolling along!

Yeah, you grin about it now. Way to go, you can ride it! Now, the fun begins.. You're going to get sucked in, trust me. You want to get better on it, master it, become the king of FWD. Then, you will get on your Baron and think it's broken. Then, my friend, you are screwed. You have been...

    Silvio speeds

Hey Ward, Welcome to the forum! I'm still packing about 30 pounds more than I should on my bike and did a pretty flat century in 5:45ish ride time, 17.7 average. That was just ride time. We stopped for about 20 minutes total and I don't think I ever got off the bike except to go to the...

    Moving Bottom-Bracket Musings

Maybe. In one of my earlier musings, I held the contention that you need to develop a "CruzBike Body" to be efficient on a CruzBike. What I meant by that was; you need to get your upperbody toned and conditioned to respond to your lower body input AND be mindful of what your hips are doing...

    Flexible steering mast...

Marc, In most CB setups, the Telescoping Front Tube (TFT) attaches to the steerer above the headtube. So, this would preclude the useage of a flex glide type system. Also, due to the input needed from the upper body, I don't think you would want that stem moving around much. Mark

Hi, new here...looking at donor bikes, etc.

Welcome to the forum! You're doing just exactly what I did; sipping the Koolaid just a little before drinking deeply. Looking forward to hearing how your build goes and can't wait to see the finished product! Mark
