    Cruztrike

Hello Everyone, Posting here as it didn't seem to fit any other topic. Although I did see an old thread regarding a trike. I've followed Cruzbike since just the kits were offered, wishing I could ride one. However I have balance issues and need a trike, so I've been riding a tadpole style for...

Shorten SLX 175 mm crank to 155 mm

Is there any bike shops in Australia that can shorten a Shim SLX triple crank, installed on my Softrider V1.6 175mm long, down to 155 mm, as riding the Quest has increased my natural cadence from 80 to 95 and is much better on my knees after a 100 Km ride. Regards Super Slim

    Fairing on a Cruzbike?

Has anyone tried attaching a fairing to a Cruzbike. I have seen some large fairings on other recumbent, such as the one manufactured by Streamer, but they look like they would make the bike a bit unwieldy in windy weather. I was thinking of something smaller, that attached to the handlebars...

    Website

Hi, Sorry the website has been down a few times recently. Looks like we got a dose of poor hardware in our latest server, or for some reason increased traffic is causing issues (when it really shouldn't). When this happens, email is unaffected, so you can still email us, on sales@cruzbike.com...

    AreoTrunk

Has anyone purchased an AreoTrunk for their Sofrider? This is an areodynamic bag that fits onto the back of the seat and requires no other attachments. It is supposed to improve the performance of a recumbent bike. I was wondering if hanging the bag of the seat would unduly affect the bike...

First Century ride on Quest 559

I completed first Century ride on my new Quest 559 yesterday. I had a great day yesterday when I rode my bicycle the entire Georgia Silver Comet Trail (61.5-mile (99 km)) and then the entire connecting Alabama Chief Ladiga trail (33-mile (53 km)). I had to backtrack a little and then ride to the...

Considering a pair of Quests, but have not been able to find any model Cruzbike to ride--or even see in the flesh. Looks perfect on paper, but need help understanding: 1--My x-seam is 43" but my wife is 35 1/2" barefoot [she's 5'1"]. Is she likely to find it a good fit? 2--I know that the...

    From exercise bike to Cruzbike!

If you're interested in owning a Cruzbike but not able to "try before you buy", perhaps you could consider trying out a recumbent at your local gym. It will at least give you some experience of the riding position. I found out about Cruzbikes by surfing the net after using recumbent exercise...

    Fanny pack seat bag

Found a nice fanny pack at a thrift store and found it works great as a seat bag. I bolted this one on but might try Velcro later for quick release. Jack

    SRAM Red Noise

If you run SRAM Red and are bothered by the noisy drive I may have the solution for you. SRAM Red has a reputation for being noisier than Campy or Shimano. I did not experience a mechanical clicking noise it is a loud buzzing that could not be eliminated. High gears were not bad but lower...
