    Thor seat sizing

My 2 cents worth: Thor seats are great however, you will potentially have to make modifications like drilling holes in the frame to make it work. That said, I had one on my Silvio 2.0+ and loved it. I now have a large Thor seat that I had planned to put on either my V20 or my S40 but I...

Cracked Handlebar Screw Section: Help Needed

I am by no means an expert however, I owned one of the last of the Silvio 2.0 crop and now own a 2021 S40 and a 2020 V20. Of course the engine is the real issue so the better your engine, the better your performance. That said, I think it is safe to say that with the V20 you should at minimum...

What crank arms/ should I use?

My local Trek shop does all my work on both my S40 and V20. Sounds like recumbent prejudice might be at work at your shop.

    RAGBRI

I solved the recumbutt issue on my S40 by adding about 1" of military grade polyethene foam. I rode it in this year's Texas BikeMS150 (Houston-LaGrange-College Station) and had no problems whatsoever.

I concur with the shorter crank length. I am also currently using 145 mm cranks purchased from bikesmithdesign.com.

Looking for a S40/Q45/V20 Straight Boom Slider

That is helpful... I have a used V20 boom (2020) that I'm happy to send you free of charge since you're such a great guy, ;-) but you'd need to verify that it would fit your model/year S40. I believe in paying it forward...God has been very good to me.

    Gearing Question on Stock S40

I have a 2021 S40 that is completely stock. I have found that I run out of gears regularly on descents and am wondering if changing out my SRAM 11 Speed 42T 110 BCD X-Sync Chain Ring for a SRAM 11 Speed 48T 110 BCD X-Sync Chain Ring would help with this? Also, I presume that one would have to...

Optimizing Fit - Eliminate Recumbutt/Hot Foot

This is my slightly different mod inspired by ak-tux's mod! I solved the sliding forward and recumbutt issue on my S40 by adding ~1" of military grade polyethene foam with the 'cut out' in the middle and ~1.5" raised section at the front. It isn't pretty and could be more refined but I rode my...
