    wheel upgrade to my V2.0

Rolf wheels I used Rolf Prima Vigor wheels for years. Very fast and durable, also easy to true up if you happen to do a swan dive over the handle bars after locking up the front wheel ( on my Silvio 1.5 ). I would not recommend the Prima Vigor SL because the side wall dents very easily...Steve

    Vendetta Di2 Users

V boom The boom houses the battery and a small junction box which connects the battery, derailleurs and shifters to the control box via small wires of specific lengths. The control box is strapped to the outside of the boom and you charge the battery from this box. I don't think the big battery...

Questions Bob, Yes just drill and tap for mounting. I changed to a square plate to give more height adjustment for the derailleur. The grommet is available at your hardware store, looks better and probably necessary. The battery is charged from the control junction box strapped on the boom. One...

    Vendetta Di2 Users

Di2 Bob, the Vendetta is made for Di2. The battery and junction box can all fit in the boom. Real clean installation. You do need a small plate bolted to the front derailleur hanger ( in pic ) so the derailleur has something to push against. The battery I used is the cigar shaped one meant for...

    Boom creeping forward

extremely incompetent Eric, sometimes to fit a short rider you have to cut the yellow boom, there's no other way to pull the BB toward the rider. I suspect this was their reasoning.

    Boom creeping forward

Slot length Larry, the slot on mine is 1 3/8", which is longer than the clamp width. I think that's your problem. The slot is not long enough for the clamp to squeeze the boom....Steve

What is new on the Silvio S30

11 Speed Supported Here's what you need for Ultegra 6800 11 speed. Shims for the smaller BB diameter. 1 3/4" outside X 1 5/8" inside x 3/8" wide. Works very well.

Starting to get a feel for the difference in the Vendetta and Silvo ride

Silvetta I notice the front suspension more on the Silvio 1.5 than the 2.0. I find that that the more the recline the less the need for suspension. Although, the suspension is nice on rough roads and roads that have been chipsealed (almost all roads in Calif.). The ride on the Silvetta is...

    Discomfort from seat back

Sore Back What stands out to me is that your arms are bent way too much. I would do everything you can to straighten your arms, such as moving the seat back and reversing the handle bar stem to point forward. Get the bars away from you so that your shoulders are not pressed against the backrest.

Sram force 22 on a Vendetta

Some pics Here are some pics of the 11 speed setup. The nice thing about the electronic shifting is that the front derailleur always knows where the rear derailleur is and trims itself accordingly. Also the steering boom gives you a perfect place for the battery and wiring.

Sram force 22 on a Vendetta

11 speed I have shimano 6800 ultegra 11 speed on my Vendetta. I also have electronic shifting. Everything works great. I thought the electronic shifting was kind of a gimic at first but I wouldn't' be without it now. I think the issue with 11 speed has more to do with the wheel hub than the...

It's the worlds best climbing recumbent I've owned!

Sivio climbing Rick, I've found the Silvio to be a very good climber also. I was on a steep incline not long ago( about a mile ) and I found that if I sit up on the bike and hug the handle bars I can sustain long climbs of 9% or more. I know it sounds very uncomfortable but it's quite a...

Starting to get a feel for the difference in the Vendetta and Silvo ride

Quest 3.0 I've got my doubts about that one Gromit. I have the turbo Quest on loan to a friend of mine. We did a 200 miler in Malibu about 3 weeks ago and he won't give it back.

Starting to get a feel for the difference in the Vendetta and Silvo ride

New Silvio ???? I don't have a clue about the new Silvio. The idea of the Vendetta front end is something I kicked around about a year ago. At that time I had emailed JT about the possibility of doing this and he said that it should work. His only caution was the resulting head tube...

Starting to get a feel for the difference in the Vendetta and Silvo ride

Vendetta front end I put the new front end on the Silvio because my Vendetta is set up for Shimano 6800 11 speed Ultegra Di2 shifting. This requires a few changes to the front detailer stem and shims for the BB cups....so, it was easier.

Starting to get a feel for the difference in the Vendetta and Silvo ride

Vendetta front end on a Silvio Bob, I've done just that. As some of you know I have a Vendett 1.5 and a Silvio 2.0. I like the Vendetta front end so much( stiff and aero) that I ordered a new Vendetta frame so that I could use the main hyroformed section to upgrade the 1.5 and try the new...

    Reading the tea leaves II

25mm tire In the picture I have 25s on the bike. I think it could take 28s but it would be close. I don't have any 28s to try but I will measure the clearance with the 25s. I think you're wright that this bike would fill the Sivio 1.5 void, I have 2 friends that ride 1.5s , they tell me that...
