I think rivers are usually a bit wet for cycling.

Most panniers have side straps to the them to the seat stays. Radical do not have this. On my Grasshopper they hang vertically down as I go round corners. If I lean over a long way the inside bag drags on the ground. If they are empty and I am going fast they lift up like a dog's ears.

S30 sprints and climbs better than the V? I guess this applies to a Silvio2 as well. I am glad I chose that one. I need all the help I can get. But I am still not getting a motor.

Bent wheel? I have never bothered with a helmet, but I think that on a recumbent your most vulnerable bits are your elbows. I crashed my Grasshopper and broke my right one. Every winter, when the roads get icy, I start to consider getting elbow pads like skateboarders wear.

Everyone looks, wherever you are, not just Japanese. Bike is an attention-seeker and acts like a prima donna when it has an audience. It also homes in on potholes. But it gets you. It is such a blast when you are mentally clipped in.

I agree with @Robert Holler. I do not like Disraeli gears much anyway, but they are so much worse with multiple chainwheels. XX1 will make you happy. With rim brakes you will be unstoppable. And not in a good way.

I have XG1195. If you add the Wolf Tooth it must make it wider. Do you have to push the forks apart to get the wheel on? They tell me that this is a bad idea with aluminium. But 1x works. Double chainwheels give me the right ump.

Mudguards look great but the front one is too short. When I had my mudguard like that the BB got absolutely pelted. But I am surprised that you got such wide tyres on there. Very clever indeed. But could you get a hydro brake hose through there? My poor Silvio has heard some appalling...

I have been a midfooter for years, with my home-made heel-clips, and suddenly everybody is talking about midfoot. The only thing I cannot do is pull on the backstroke. Apparently I do not need to do so anyway. So that is one upgrade I do not have to buy.
