Has anyone tried a CruzBike "fixie?"

You also find fixies in ciclocross and steep hill races. I am attracted to the aero capabilities. 120mm frame dropout size is a lot less than 135mm. Pinion also do a crank gearbox that would fit a 120mm dropout frame size. So how about a s40 with 120mm frame dropout with pinion compatibility...

Has anyone tried a CruzBike "fixie?"

I've got an aero fixie. It's different. A lot lighter but still not as aero as a Vendetta. If you haven't got motor assist on your fixie cruzbike forget it. You might be able to start on a hill in very easy gear ratio but you will be severely limited in its top speed. I burn more calories on my...

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

Nope... not going there. There has to be a safer way. Buy a vendetta in titanium. :cruzbike:

    Spring rides 2018

Well guess it might be a little early but the weather here is so fantastic. 24c. Not sure what that is in Fahrenheit. Must be around 80. The weather for the last month has been crap. Just waiting for that epic day to take the bike I luv for a long ride. I don't know what it is about the...

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

You are in great form and keep that toe healthy... I can see the Sebring KOM being broken this year.

    Little tweaks

The soccer shoe idea... good if you are out with the Mrs. You lose a hell of a lot of power... nothing quite replaces a solid no flex bottom. Looks good but you won't be in any KOM contention. Nothing ventured ... nothing gained. Guess I could enhance them and just encrust the bottom of the sole...

Ventisit pad and clothing (Lycra) wear

Yep... gives me a chance to renew my bibs and jerseys. I use a cheap triathlon suit.. very good as the padding isn't that noticeable. I've had the same triathlon suit for two years so maybe as it's my birthday soon that I buy a new one. In the winter and for speed I swap out the...

V20 with a Thor seat? What’s the story?

I always find I need to add lumbar support to all my recumbent seats and extra padding for the shoulders. Then I am very happy. Happy as Larry

What I did Today to prepare for Sebring 2018

That place is so key. You really don't have much time in the morning, especially if you want to get on the trainer 10 minuts before the race. I can't make it this year but if I was going. I would stay there.

Bikism Is For Real; starting over again

I did that with the Vendetta. Then I decided on shortened cranks and found out my boom wasnt long enough. Fortunately Robert came to the rescue. Heck ... these bikes are great to tinker with

    Want to sell a Vendetta

Pics speak a thousand words. You will need to put its specifications up. Rose city should have given you a build list somewhere. If you have it. Take a photo of that and post that as well. Then we get a better idea. Color sells as well. If it's gold or blue it's going to sell like a hot cake...

Bikism Is For Real; starting over again

Hey Mark Good intro. I wondered why I grew a grey beard. It was Kings day here in Spain just a few days ago. The three wise men all had beards too. Guess we think more about the quality of our ride now that we have seen the light and joy that such a ride can give. There is nothing that...

Super Rare Vendetta Sighting on the Diablo

I got mine cut down to 155mm but I know others who have gone down to 145mm. I enjoy a little leverage and it works for me. After 100 miles my knees don't hurt. It also helps having your cleats well back or in the middle of your shoe

Super Rare Vendetta Sighting on the Diablo

Shorter cranks make you more aero as you don't have to bend the knees so much so your air resistance level is less at higher speeds so more watts saved... or for the same watts, more speed
