Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

I rode a carbon frame for years, crashed a few times, never had a problem. It's surprisingly tough. But it's not titanium, of course. And my V rides inside the car with the other people. So no flights down the express way.

Just the thought of a carbon fiber Vendetta makes me drool.

    Colorburst Tour

I found that I didn't have to wait very much since they were very quick at the stops. I also found that it gave me a chance to pull my feet off of the pedals every so often, which is a good thing when riding that many hours.

    Colorburst Tour

Larry, I have a VIRB and posted some videos on this forum. You are so fast, you probably missed them! ;) Next season, I'd like to meet you guys over at that human powered event on the east side of Michigan if the timing works out. I hope you'll be there. And get yourself ready for the N24HC...

    Colorburst Tour

I rode the Colorburst Tour 100-mile route today. I was already registered and had paid my money. The forecast was for rain and temps in the thirties, so I was not planning to ride as of yesterday. Then I woke up this morning and found the forecast had changed to no rain. So I packed my crap...

Tired of being mistreated by motorists?

I went out the for the Thursday night shop ride. It gets dark really early now, so I continued on afterwards for another 10 miles or so around the lake by myself. I had my bright headlight and bright red rear flasher on and I was waiting at an intersection near home for the light to turn...

Bike Porn for Ratz and Friends

I went out for a ride on Saturday and my rear (non-drive) wheel started squeeking. So I cut the ride short and went home with only 58 miles. I wanted 100. So I took the wheel to the bike shop and ordered some new high-tech bearings (I didn't have time to fix it myself). It's a Mavic Ksyrium and...

    Touring

I found that the Vendetta turned me into a speed demon unexpectedly. But I do enjoy reading the tourist posts a great deal. I hope they aren't holding back because they aren't racers. If you're a tourist, please post your experiences. There is a place for everyone.

    Exercise Benefits

I like to blow by 10 DFs at a time at 30mph. Then I hide in the shadows until they blow past me. Then I buzz them again. I know, it's a cruel world.

I like the Large Topeak aero wedge pack myself. It fits my V well and holds everything I need.

Can you post a link to this type of cage? I'm not familiar with it.

    First Vendetta Ride WooHoo!

Keep in mind that Gatorskins, while awesome for puncture resistance, are noticably different in rolling resistance. When I switched from Gatorskins to Conti 4000s, I could feel the difference before I got out of the driveway. But if you need puncture resistance, Gatorskins are great.

    First Vendetta Ride WooHoo!

That's a beautiful bike. Just a couple of quick comments. First, once you get enough time on the bike, you will be able to hammer on the flats at 35 mph and still feel totally in control - your brain has to rewire, which takes time. Second, I have my bottles vertical in the same area as your...

    Exercise Benefits

I remember that Computrainer has a group ride option. I think it was limited to 5 riders. But that has been around for a while. When I was using one, it seemed that they stopped development after getting the product out to the market, so some of the apps were kludgey and the others started to...
