Yes! This. I own the same two bikes. Perfect explanation. I will add that I was glad to learn on a more upright bike (sofrider) first before going to a reclined seat (S30). However it looks like the S40 has the best of both worlds in terms of learning without a super reclined position. Oh...

And by the way, I can't believe you're riding in crazy Canadian winters. I grew up in North Dakota and you wouldn't have caught me on a bike in those temps. Hats off to you! Brrrr

I do think the stability is good enough for that with the T50. Especially since you've had more practice to get stable on your current cruzbike.

I am curious as well why you wouldn't just buy a used S30? Seems you don't care for the S40. Please enlighten us.

Yes. Sofrider definitely, Silvio no no noooo. That's my baby. I actually bought the T50 with training others in mind. I'm glad I did, the steering is much more stable than my sofrider and Silvio. It should be great for beginners.

I feel the same way Neil as I begrudgingly put my helmet on. I don't like them, but with all the distracted drivers these days it's not worth the risk. So I wear mine on every ride. Wow Doug, that's horrible. So sorry to hear that. What a shock.

I did this a few weeks ago, was indecisive about which direction to turn and before I knew it slow tip over in front of two young boys. Thank goodness they were too interested in the bike to laugh and offered a hand to upright me and my bike all while asking questions about the cool bike. Lol.

I do know they are not identical in size, one is way shorter than the other. I'll take a picture when I'm working on it.
