    Suitable Frame Choice

Doug will probably chime in Doug will probably chime in as he has more experience than anyone I know about the Cruzbike conversion kit. As I recall, the step-through/u-frame you show doesn't make a suitable donor; I can't recall why exactly, but I know that seat mounting is a concern. If you're...

Help ! Having multiple flats on my Cruzbike Aero 67s wheelset - very frustrating !!!

Gorilla Tape I don't recommend this, but I skidded through a $95 Continental tubular and rode for weeks afterward on that tire patched with Gorilla tape. Since then, I keep a roll in my under-seat bag.

Climbing speed comparison: Silvio vs. Vendetta

Thanks, Jim. I'm sure this is on behalf of all the forum members following this thread... Thank you for you in-depth answers. I am not yet a Cruzbike owner, but understanding the bike, the mechanics of riding it and the techiniques that help are important to me as I plan my 2013 riding goals.

Climbing speed comparison: Silvio vs. Vendetta

If the hill is very steep and If the hill is very steep and long, and I need more than 240W of power to maintain minimum speeed, then it is smarter to walk the bike. Maria's coach advises that when in a long race (e.g. 12 or 24 hours) you only have a limited number of "matches to burn" and...

Climbing speed comparison: Silvio vs. Vendetta

Silvio isn't a "Step down." "The only other thing that interested me in the Silvio for randonneuring is that the more upright position would make it easier to navigate strange towns I've never been in before. The extreme recline of the V is great for pounding out the miles, but sometimes make...

    Atomic Zombie FrontRunner

Okay...so it's not a *great* design... I certainly didn't think it would have the performance of a properly designed bike and the sliding frame design looks a bit sketchy to me, but for a hobbyist project it seems okay. I think a bike like this would be more suited for a slower ride on the...

Silvio's at the Midwest Recumbent Rally

I've always wanted to go to that Got pictures from the event? Also, I think the interest in Cruzbike at a recumbent rally of that size is great. Who knows? Maybe you turned at least a few people into potential Cruzbike converts :)

Hey...sorry to hear the news. I hope you're going to heal well from your injuries; it's a shame to be forced off the bike and to sell a beauty like your can't be an easy decision. Take care.

    Silvio ST "sport touring" concept

WOW So after emails between you and John, you were able to come up with this design that quickly? I'm inpressed. I admit, I like the looks of your other frames too, particularly the trussed detail in your second model, but this is simpler and more elegant. The fact that it looks like it can...

    Silvio ST "sport touring" concept

Interesting Concept By the looks of it, I wouldn't call it a sport-touring bike, but as a fully-loaded touring or cargo bike, it might be of interest to some. The design looks solid and is reminiscent of an Xtracycle. Similarly to Xtracycle's modular concept, you could create an attachment that...

    Parking a Silvio

You've read my mind That's funny. I was thinking about Click Stands on the way into work today. My friend has a CoMotion tandem on which I sometimes ride the stoker position. He is always concerned about having the bike fall over when leaning it against his Jeep. Thanks for posting. It...
