Anybody interested in doing Calvin's Challenge 2026

...I wasn’t really pushing it, I was just at a peak. Since then I had an illness, foot surgery, and started looking at Medicaid. Recently I’ve been using Trainer Road’s new AI based custom plans. I told it I wanted to peak May 16 for a 100 mile race.

    2021 S40 for sale - SOLD

Off topic - Are you a regular visitor to Tucson? Just finishing a short (5 week) stay and really enjoyed the cycling. Will be back next year for much longer. Unfortunately I’m heading back to cold and snow so my S40 will be back on a trainer for a few months.

Hi all, has anyone used the S40 on a Van Rysel D100 Smart trainer. Or aware of any reason why this wouldn't work please?

    Going ultra on the S40?

...a month and a half, I did my first mountain test, and it went well. That was in the autumn. I spent the whole winter training on a Cruzbike trainer to get ready for the brevet season, which helped a lot. In 2025, I did all my cycling events on the S40, except for one 300 km brevet. I...

Where have all the racers gone?

...lot with her fellow Chicks. Finally Maria was able to talk her beloved spouse Jim into trying one more time to get “Betsy”, his disagreeable trainer to play nice. Things were looking good for our rugged crew. Ken spoke for his teammates when he said “Bring on those pesky hill climbs! We’ve...

    Cayuses still creakin', still Cruisin'

I don’t use Zwift. After using Zwift for a long time (exclusively over one Wisconsin winter), I tried MyWhoosh then Rouvy. I much prefer Rouvy. Were I still using Zwift I’d likely join in but don’t want to go back.

    Cayuses still creakin', still Cruisin'

...the price of zwift now tbh. I'd not use it enough to get value for money anymore. I did used to enjoy it but my reason for getting a smart trainer was to knock the indoor Everesting badge off the list. I just use it as a dumb trainer atm. Tried mywhoosh but it kept messing me around and I was...

...least he was showing 100 watts when he was pedaling at 200+ watts. Wishing him luck did not help with the quarrel Jim’s been having with his trainer. Maybe candy and flowers will do the trick next week. Sadly disappointed the Chicks carried on. “We’re doing this for our comrade Jim and his...

Water and Dust seal upgrade for the V20c headset

...but it'd be better if they both had similar feel. And thanks once again for doing the trial and posting the part #'s. I've ordered the O-rings and will hold off installing the viscoset until they arrive. Not really a hardship this time of year as it's below 0F here and I'm in trainer land...

Dynamic-boom vs. Fixed-boom Recumbent Bicycle Power Production

...is exactly the same range of power increase I found with my opening post on this thread, when I compared power with my Cruzbike locked into a trainer (Fixed BB) vs. on the open road (MBB). I invited others to repeat the steps that I took, but apparently no one has. There is also this blog...

Is There a Q45 around Olympia, WA, that My Friend Can Look at??

...two. I'm in Woodinville. I'm 5'6", so it would be a smaller adjustment in terms of fit. It just occurred to me that, if the primary concern is fit, my Sofrider is mounted on an indoor trainer, so it could be tried out in terms of fit without any of the challenges of riding one for the first time.

Thank you for that - I have the S40 on my H3 trainer for the winter and I am already working on the ‘relaxing’ of my arms - knowing that it is one of the keys to successful transition over to this riding. Thanx again

    Magped peddles review
