Seat angle and first real ride

Got my V20 in Oct. and used it on a trainer all winter. Made some modifications to the seat to allow me to adjust the angle to make it easier to use to bike on group rides. The photos give an idea of what I did, it is similar to some modifications shown in other post on the forum. A cable and...

    S40 on Wahoo Kickr Snap

...I also asked this question of the CB support folks. In the interest of making this info more accessible, here is Robert's reply. "Wheel-on trainers typically do not work with our bikes as the axle is nearly always too short to capture the entire front end. I can’t say for sure for the newer...

    S40 on Wahoo Kickr Snap

I have researched this question on this forum. Most answers tend toward the relative merits of a wheel-on trainer vs direct drive. What I want to know is whether or not a thru-axle S40 will work on a Wahoo Kickr Snap. Wahoo offers a thru axle adapter. Presumably, one would replace their...

For those who had hip impingement surgery (fai), are fully reclined bikes the way to go?

Not sure I can answer your question, but I developed pain in my left hip when riding my S40/V20 on my smart trainer until I added pedal extenders. No more pain since.

S40 not holding fit adjustment on smart trainer

...in place there? When I first got my S40 I put it on my Neo t2 with no problems. I assume you mean the boom extends while using it on the trainer? If so maybe loosen it off (and the BB clamps and axle) slip it out a bit and make sure it's all clean, dry and grease free before tightening it...

    Weight limit for Cruzbike's?

I’ve got a Kickr and the Zwift trainer. I was using it on the Kickr.

S40 not holding fit adjustment on smart trainer

I tried putting my s40 on my kicker and while it fit and I could ride it wouldn’t hold the fit. It kept backing out such that the reach for my legs became too long and would hurt my hamstrings. I’m not terribly mechanically inclined but there seems to be only one screw holding the adjustment...

    Weight limit for Cruzbike's?

I use my v20 on a wahoo kickr for thousands of miles, what trainer are you using?

    Weight limit for Cruzbike's?

Just came across this post, I was trying to use my s40 for Zwift but it would not hold adjustment. You have any such issues or am I doing something wrong?

My Very First Recumbent is a V20

I'll try and get a video from the side Larry, probably while the bike is on the trainer.

Replace Q45 Shock with Metal Bar

...one (no shock). I'm reluctant to add more holes to the bar so may purchase another piece of bar stock in the future (inexpensive compared to a shock). Based on a trainer ride I'll also need to get a neck rest if I go any further back than my current position, so that's another thing to look into.

Replace Q45 Shock with Metal Bar

Just connected my Q45 to a JetBlack Victory trainer and the constant bouncing is a bit much. I'll play with the shock to see if I can't get it to a tolerable state, but I was thinking of replacing it with a metal bar as well while on the trainer. This is a great option and thanks for the...

You can usually find these online or at bike shops. Should be a simple fix.

Cheap trainer setup for proper fit

To adapt an old-school mag trainer to a thru-axle, you'll need a thru-axle adapter kit. These kits typically include a new skewer or an adapter that fits your trainer's resistance unit and works with the size of your thru-axle (e.g., 12x142mm, 12x148mm). Just make sure you get the correct one...

    Looking for an S40

Paul- If the S40 remains for sale, I am interested. I ride a Silvio with a short chainstay so would remove it. If you could send pixs, identify drivetrain, seat (?Ventiseat) and tire type I would be interested in shipping (Indiana) if bike cost is acceptable. You can send via text if easier...

Cheap trainer setup for proper fit

You’ll need a thru-axle adapter kit, which is cheap and easy to install. Just make sure it fits your S40's axle.

Cheap trainer setup for proper fit

On any trainer through axle or QR - you will want to use the stock one that we provide with the bike. Most of the stock off the shel QR's ad through axles that come with trainers will be too short as they are designed for upright bikes - where ours are longer as we have to account for the wider...

Cheap trainer setup for proper fit

Maybe write an email to @Robert Holler ( "support at cruzbike.com" ) of Cruzbike for advice on the correct length of the thru axle adapter for a classic Turbo Trainer. My S40 is the older type( year 2019) that came with quick release not thru axles.

Cheap trainer setup for proper fit

...and record video to help determine proper fit. I personally would rather take sharp objects and shove them under my fingernails than ride a trainer. So this is a one time thing. I have several old skewers in my spare parts supply. None of them are long enough to go through the long front...

Cheap trainer setup for proper fit

Hi, You need a special through axle. There are many types on ebay e.t.c . Here is one https://www.ebay.com/itm/195471663777 Classic fluid trainers are better though. (Saris/CycleOps fluid2 or Kurt Kinetic). You can pick up used ones from ebay for about the same price. Also check this thread...
