Boom ... was that an S30 that just passed you?

It is about 1" lower. All other things being equal (same tires, etc.) Robert

    Upgrade fork/chainstay for older Vendetta

NICE! I am pleased this worked. Note to everyone out there - we don't have a zillion of these around so they will be reserved for keeping broken or wildly ill-fit bikes on the road - as opposed to just offering up new stuff to cure upgrade-itis. That is until I have more around to offer. Robert

    SRAM brifters, rear D, etc...

There are good pieces of advice above. I have built more Cruzbikes than I can count with everything under the sun and the GX is great. 10 speed is flawless, 11 speed - MEH in my opinion but I tent to remain old school until the next big thing is not the next big thing. I steer clear of Shimano...

    S30 Boom Adjustment

The arm reach I use to get a general sense for where to put the bars. Someone can have the x-seam just right with an inch of clearance but still be reaching too far. Proper arm position is important for generating power on the cruzbike. Too extended and you have nothing, too close to the body...

Boom ... was that an S30 that just passed you?

Cliff, It is 23" to the top of the pad. Robert

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

OK everyone - as the one lone guy handling every inquiry for shipping I need to say that the email jumped the gun a bit. The new frames are done and getting packaged, but that does NOT mean I physically have them ready to slap a FedEx label on them. So - a bit of patience. If you have been...

    Cruzbike model names

I have a sigma here. It is a trip to ride. I actually have three Sigmas that are in the box and have never been assembled...

    Silvio 1.0 v. S30

The old Silvio and the new S30 are not even in the same league - they share a name only. I have a 1.0 and love it - but it cannot compare to the new one for performance. They are different beasts entirely. For me - they are both keepers.

    Q559

The Q559 is sold out and gone forever. I do have a few demo models that can be sold - so if you are interested in those get hold of me via PM. Otherwise the QX100 is now taking its place. The QX100 is the same frame, so the real difference is in the gearing, and colors of course. Robert

    S30 Boom Adjustment

It is possible you need to shorten the boom a bit. The inner tube. You can easily cut off 3-4" and you will have plenty of adjustment. Robert

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

This is all fine and good on paper but from experience the real key here is getting your upper AND lower body into the right power position, and the terrain is critical to how the setup will impact performance. This is as important for your pedal to seat distance and it's even more critical for...

Boom ... was that an S30 that just passed you?

As was stated by ratz - that is the basics of how the bike was changed. The same tube, lose the gap from the space taken by the shock. To make that work however the head tube had to change angles or it would be too steep. This is not the old frame with just a different front end - it has a bit...

    S30 Frame Assembly

Have a new helpful video here for everyone. The same process here applies to assembling a V20 frame.

Spring is HERE!! lets see your RIDE!!

Those are some hand laced wheels on Son H Plus anodized NMSW rims with Shimano XT hubs. Super smooth, super quiet, and they carry speed like nobody's business. They are not the lightest wheels, but then I have never found really light wheels to be good for anything I ride (too heavy of an arse)...

What handlebar comes with the current Silvio?

Currently the new S30 comes with the same stock bar as before. But stay tuned as another bar will be coming as an upgrade - and will eventually find its way to become the new standard bar. Robert

Boom ... was that an S30 that just passed you?

We have plenty of support for the old shock fork so no worries there to those that have that version. As Jeremy stated, maintaining the geometry is key. It is possible that some options might be reviewed on having a spacer, etc - but nothing for certain as economies of scale come into play for...

Boom ... was that an S30 that just passed you?

This is true. Nimble without being "darty" at all. It very much handles like the suspended S30, but now with a more positive performance front end. Like was said - everything is a trade off, so there are gains in that arena but losses in the front comfort for some surfaces. If you have a...
