T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

I figured the T50 was put together like the Q-series. Since I have the DualDrive, I have a rear derailleur tensioning the chain, so that's never been a problem.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

    3) Cruzbike used to spec the SRAM DualDrive IGH on their Quest (predecessor to the current QX100). I assume the Alfine would work in similar fashion. Don't know enough about the Rohloff to say. The distance between the hub and the bottom bracket (cranks) is fixed, just as on an upright bike, by...

    Crank Question

It should spin easily, at least two or three complete revolutions. Here's a short (45 sec.) video from another forum post: Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016']Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016 Which bike do you have it installed on?

    Bicycle stand.

OK, here's a little more detail from Ratz's original checklist, Spring Time - Learning To Ride Time. Maybe this will help: I belong to the last year of the Boom.

    Bicycle stand.

Yes, there's plenty of adjustment. I have the arm-to-floor distance set at around 42". My Silvio S30 with 700C wheels clears the ground with several inches to spare. The clamp can be rotated to whatever angle you need, and then tightened at that angle (separately from tightening the clamp around...

    Bicycle stand.

I have a Park Tool PCS9. I clamp both my S30 and my Q on the front triangle (boom/slider). Since the Q has 24" wheels, I usually put a plastic bucket or something under the rear wheel to level it out. Got the idea from ReklinedRider: The V Chronicles']The V Chronicles

    EXPIRED - V2/K - $500 - Escondido, CA

Even though the Craigslist post says "sofrider", the bike frame says "V2/K".

If I can build up an S30, so can you

Another entry for the Amateur Hour: I committed my first "Arte Johnson" in three years of Cruzbiking. About a mile and a half from the finish of last night's 20-mile group ride, I reached a roundabout where a pickup pulling a trailer had just entered from my left. I slowed down, figuring I...

Mulholland Double Century and KOM Series Race Report

Love it. My heart rate was up just reading about those descents. Great job, riding and writing!

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

Like using 406 wheels with 3" or wider tires? How wide a tire would that fork allow?

    Quest 451 to 507

$40 plus $7 shipping. Probably pretty close. My hands are lower than on the stock bars, by a couple of inches. I'll try to get a side-view picture of me on the bike this weekend.

    Quest 451 to 507

After seeing how the Bacchetta handlebar (pre-2016 Giro, 21" width) looked on @qajaqdennis' QX100, I ordered one. Had to to unwrap the shift and brake cables from around the head tube to get enough length for the new shifter and brake lever position, and cut about 1/2" off each end to...

That looks way better! Definitely less cramped.

Help with seat issue Silvio 1.5

I found an old Silvio 1.5 fit chart. With your height and x-seam, and that 100mm chainstay extender, the bike should fit you. Your knee is already at 90 degrees with the pedals straight up and down, so it would be way bent with the other leg at full extension. Still sounds like the pedals are...

Help with seat issue Silvio 1.5

I don't think so. The mounting position looks the same as my 1.5 did--front of the seat ending at the "C" in Cruzbike, back of the seat in the same relative position to the stays. And like @John Dorlon said, it's welded on there. I think he has one, from what I can see zoomed in on the photo...

Elliptical chain rings don't work ...

Oh, and I forgot the 155mm cranks and e-ring on the Q. :D One never knows. Might take a few more years, though. ;)

    WTB Silvio 1.5

I loved my Silvio 1.5. Great bike. But certainly not right for everyone.

Elliptical chain rings don't work ...

Somewhere around 1991, I bought my first bike-shop bicycle, a low-end DiamondBack MTB with SIS thumbshifters and slightly odd-looking chainrings that I later learned were called Biopace. The shop guy didn't use them as a selling point, or tell me much about them. All I knew was that the first...

    WTB Silvio 1.5

I rode a Silvio 1.5 for almost two years. Sold it three months ago when I got the S30. Maria Parker set a 12-hour distance record in 2009 on an early-model Silvio, so they can be fast. I doubt you'll like a 1.5 any better than you did the 2.0 you owned for two weeks. It should fit your x-seam...
