    rear suspension adjustment

PU spring orientation Super Slim, When I was assembling my Silvio 2, I tried to get the larger part of the PU spring into the treaded hole in the frame, it was nearly impossible. There was already a discussion ongoing in July 2013 (http://cruzbike.com/silvio-2.0-build-questions) posts 26+...

    rear suspension adjustment

rear suspension setting here is the setting I have on my Silvio. I feel comfy with this. Compared to the harsh ride of non-suspended 700x23 tires, it smoothens the ride on rough road surface, that is all I was looking for.

    rear suspension adjustment

I would like to know if there is a recommended value for the rear suspension adjustment. Taking in consideration the weight of the rider, how far should the PU spring stick out of the frame?

Taking her by the horns; an S2 fitting to tall body

Ivan, thanks for the Ivan, thanks for the ''?enlightenment'' you gave me for my 69th anniversary. The Silvio is my first recumbent bike. Some more training will certainly improve my balance. I already feel improvement from one ride to the other.

Taking her by the horns; an S2 fitting to tall body

riding with chainstay extension Maybe this should rather be posted under ''riding techniques''. But it is also related to the set-up with chainstay extensions. For sure, with little less than 150 miles, I'm still at the beginning of my ride experience. When I'm starting on a incline, or...

    Silvio

Missunderstaning Sorry John, By no means I will say that Cruzbikes are something experimental. I'm convinced that the bikes you developed are in many ways superior to what is on the market, otherwise I wouldn't have bought a Silvio 2.1 for my own pleasure. Personally I road DF's and for...

    Silvio

STOCK OR NON-STOCK adopting a MBB-FWD bike '' will put you into the experimental arena'' anyway. Something similar to using LINUX instead of Windows or IOS. I like challenges.

    Silvio

BULLHORNS & GEARS I copied Mrs. Ratz's handlebar set-up, with a Deda Crononero Lowrider bar. It results in a rather tight cockpit and at starts I have a little more difficulties to get second foot on the pedal without touching the handlebar with the knee. But I like the arrangement with the...

    SILVIO 2 SEAT

Thanks everybody for all these interesting comments. I'll try to find more comfort with some cushioning. Very interesting also John's air-cushion tests. Maybe at some point this might result in an adaptable seat padding with pockets that can be filled with different density foam.

    SILVIO 2 SEAT

The weather is fine now, so I'm riding my Silvio 2.1 on a more regular base. Maybe I'm not sufficiently relaxed yet, but I feel that the seat is lacking of lumbar support. I think some Silvio 2 owners adapted different brand seats. Has someone tried a Metabike carbon seat? What seat...

    My first experiences

RIDING WET ROADS First time that the bike trail is free of snow and ice. This afternoon I was out for a little longer stretch on our locale bike trail. There is still a lot of snow on the side at many places. Once again I followed Ivan's recommendation and installed a set of CRUD RoadRacer...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

BULLHORNS (suite) I gave the reversed stock handle bar (bullhorn position) a try on the road. I didn't spend much time to adjust them properly, the bars were too close, thus my arms too much bent, but I think its a viable solution to get the feel of a bullhorn handle bar at no cost. For me...
