    Clip-on mirrors

What works best for me on my V20 and S40 is to mount a pair of Zefal Spy mirrors on my brifters. These work perfectly and allow instant access to full rear coverage, much more than you would get with a clip on mirror and they're always in place, ready to use.

    Cycle computers

I'm still so old school that I haven't switched to a handlebar mounted GPS unit. The fact that I know where I'm going most of the time has kept me from switching plus the fact that a GPS unit is bulkier, thus less aerodynamic than my old, reliable Planet Bike Protege computer. The computer shows...

Cruzbike Silvio Ver? for Sale in Anaheim, California

Looks like the air suspension fork has no pressure? Have you tried pumping it up to the 150 lbs recommended with a shock pump?

Cruzbike Silvio Ver? for Sale in Anaheim, California

Looks like a Silvio 1.0 that's had a paint job. I just sold mine this year.

    T50 Cruzbike for sale - $800

I bought this bike for my wife and I plan to add an electric motor kit from Electric Bike Solutions. This should make learning how to ride a Cruzbike easier for her - something she has struggled with in the past. I have owned a T50 for years and so I'm familiar with the bike. This bike arrived...

    A very nice S40 review...

Leif, I didn't realize you did that video. Incredible photography. I was marveling over the drone shots as I watched it.

    A very nice S40 review...

He might have mentioned that the bike would have handled the gravel better with wider tires. Otherwise a really well done video introduction to the S40.

    Squeak

Referring to the common square taper BB. The crank arms attach to them. Look up videos on YouTube. There are other types of bottom brackets but I assumed you might have the most common type.

    Squeak

Well if the crank arms are tight then it can't be coming from there and you're not supposed to apply grease to the tapers on the BB. Grease the cups on either side of the BB. Remember the right side is reverse threaded.

    Squeak

With the newer sealed bottom brackets it is advisable to just change out the BB instead of trying to repack it. In any case the squeak is unlikely to be coming from the bearings but more likely from the crank arm BB interface, the pedals or the cups holding the BB in place.

    S40 going tubeless

I ride my S40 with the stock 32mm tires and tpu tubes at 70 psi with no problem. In fact 50 to 75 psi is the recommended pressure for these tires so I don't understand how going tubeless is a game changer?

    First Cruzbike s40 vs v20c

I read when the V20c came out that the weight savings was just over half a pound. Not enough to make much of a difference but it will help satisfy those who believe that only carbon bikes are worthy of attention. Also take into account that carbon does not fare well in a crash, being prone to...

    Comfort on S40?

My S40 is quite comfortable. No recumbutt issues but I usually don't do rides over 40 miles on it. I did try a Ventist pad on it and found it to be too hard so I stayed with the thicker stock pad. I do use a Ventist on my V20 which I take on long, fast rides and I find it comfortable enough.

Placement and type of mirrors for S40

Exactly. One on the left brifter and one on the right The Spys work great. They are out of the airstream if you mount them on the brifters I have my Vendetta set up the same.

My new S40! First impression and a few questions

I have water bottles mounted on the booms of my S40 and my V20C. I bought Zefal water bottle holders with Velcro straps. They work well except the bottle cage itself does not grip the bottle tightly. Hit a big bump and the bottle lands in your lap. I kept the Velcro mount and changed out the...

    Sofrider questions

I had a Freerider which is kissing cousin to a Sofrider. Mine had a single chainring and an 8 spd cassette. I wouldn't change the gearing, especially to a triple which would likely mean a new frt der and shifter. I had a triple on my 1st Cruzbike, a Silvio 2.0, and I regretted the choice. I...

    Headrest on S40

I managed to make the headrest on my S40 work for me by folding over the foam, thereby doubling it's thickness. That still wasn't enough so I added 3 pieces of foam yoga mat material, adding another inch at least. I'm 5 ft 10.

S40 with the suspension adjustable headrest as a shorter cyclist (and what about the wedge?)

I use an inexpensive helmet I purchased from Amazon called the Basecamp. It comes with a magnetically attached eye shield sun visor. I can flip the visor in place or turn it up with one hand while riding. I also purchased a yellow tinted visor for better visibility on our foggy days here in the...

New V20c Rider from Boulder – Seeking Setup Tips (Tire Width & Bar Height)

A longer chain stay would drop your bar some. Not sure if you already have that or not? Talk to Robert Holler at at Rose City Cycles since he is about the same height as you I think. I understand your nervousness with the V at high speeds. Once I get above 30 mph on mine my confidence quickly...
