Help me decide - Q45 vs Bachetta Giro

All true. And indeed I firmly believe that there is no 2 wheel recumbent out there that could out climb a rear (front) hub assisted Cruzbike. AWD will always win there. This little hill at the retreat was pretty slippery. Many tried. Only the T50e succeeded. I only had street tires (stock) on...

    Short crank questions answered here

The ring that the cranks come with is a smaller 38T ring - mostly aimed for the current set of Q45's and S40's where people want a bit lower gearing. The cranks are GXP 8-bolt standard though, so there are many options for other rings or doubles, etc. We will not be carrying those, but they are...

Cruzbike Quest 2.0 559 Replacement Headset

I assume that is has the "DiaTech" headset on it? If so - that is a wear item for sure and that headset is no longer made to my knowledge. Any standard headset (EC34) will work, but you will likely want to get as short of a stack as possible, as the steer tubes on the older bikes were...

    Short crank questions answered here

I would say that there is a bit of an adaptation period but for me it wasn't too bad. But I ride many different bikes that have cranks ranging from 145 to 155 to 165 to 172.5's and usually do not ride any one bike for extended lengths of time during the Sean... so I change up every ride or two...

Silvio Pictorial History - Request pics and info from the tribe

There only ever was 200 of those. I have one in my basement (the one Maria raced) and know where about half of them are in general... a classic.

Silvio Pictorial History - Request pics and info from the tribe

I would agree with Larry above - likely 2015/2016 but maybe manufactured in 2014... front suspension was never a good idea and isn't on anything bur gravel/offroad upright MTB bikes... the rear is ok - the elastomer can be replaced (we have those) but that rear rack makes me cringe and it should...

What Is The Reason for the Aluminum Element in V20 Frame?

On a recumbent having it be featherweight is a really a wild goose chase in my opinion. The "lightest"recumbents I have ever been on - either aluminum or CF - were so flimsy that they were absolutely horrible at anything related to "performance" in the slightest. Also they are the worst climbers...

When can we expect the next batch of V20c, any new colors or other changes?

No frame changes. A few changes to a few parts but that was just MFG changes on their end for things to go smoother so nothing of consequence. Better rims though.

    GCN and Cruzbike

I agree with Maria on this take. The folks there run their own show - getting on there for something "real" is not an easy feat so this is a great start to hopefully more of a relationship with the folks there. I saw this video in the AM at home and I admit that when he first got on the bike and...

    Touch up paint

Shoot an email to the support@cruzbike.com - there might be some but it is always a hit or miss and also they tend to not last very long before drying out or just going all "goo" even if we have them. I always recommend to find as close as possible a match in a good nail polish.

    GCN and Cruzbike

Give him 6-8 months of training and a nice dialed in proper fit (which he did not have - I would rate it as an 70% at best fit) he would have been much much much faster for sure. Still - overall GREAT videos with a lot of super positive discussion.

    Race Cage First Impressions

Installation video should be up at some point soon but thank you for the great write up! A pro tip for things like keys - I have attached to the top rail a key ring that I can then clip my keys on.

modifying S40 to lower seat angle?

That is most definitely NOT an actual S30. You can mainly tell because it says "Silvio" right on the side. ☺️

modifying S40 to lower seat angle?

The S30 was a once-and-only frame. There is only one S30. The other white frame is the Silvio, that was retrospectively named (kind of by accident) the "Silvio S30" much after the actual S30 was built. It was only the "Silvio" prior to this. The S30 replaced what was the Silvio. But those older...

    Bottom Bracket Replacement?: 2023 S40

Give it a shot. You might only need to remove one spacer, and place that spacer on the side that gives the best chainline.

    Bottom Bracket Replacement?: 2023 S40

It is more frequently the difference in the BB cups and the accompanying spindle on the crank, but I have seen some actual shells that can have a +/- 1mm variation. Also I have seen some shells that have been faced more than once which shaves a bit of material off every time, thus possibly...

    Bottom Bracket Replacement?: 2023 S40

Since "standard" is a word thrown around in the bike industry that is 1000% meaningless by its definition, things are always a bit off when mixing parts like this - and sometimes just when there are differences on some bb shell specs. A BB cup spacer kit like below is what you need to reduce one...
