I modified my 1-up rack a touch--works well. Just move the spacer down on one side and trim the arms.

I properly set up front derailleur--No chain drops.

For me, the issue with going larger on the cassette is compatibility with the deraillure cage and increased steps between gears. If 15-20% grade are your norm, you would be better served with a 2x setup.

Going one size smaller on the front chainring will take the edge off the climbs, but will also reduce your top peddling speed. I use a 40 tooth ring and my max peddling speed for me is 28mph--plenty fast. At 12% I find I need to sit up a bit to help with weight over the front wheel.

Another option is to change out the front chainring to something a little smaller. I run a 40 tooth ring.

I use the Insta360 GPS remote so I can embed the data from the desktop editor. You can also sync it up with your Garmin or other cycle computer data, but I have not tried that myself.
