    Q45 Upgrades

AWESOME! Might I ask what source you used for that motor? I am not up on what is out there for converting a through axle setup for an E-hub. Robert

    2021 Q45 Seat Angle

Thanks all! The kind words are much appreciated. Also if it is taking a bit longer to get back to inquiries and issues - know that over 70 bikes went out to people in less than a week, and we are getting more inquiries than ever before - all around many supply chain issues due to covid. Luckily...

    Q handlebars

Indeed the new bars are far far better than the older ones on the Q45 (which were off the shelf bars) These new ones are custom made for us. They will make for a great transformation of the older Q45. Did you have to do any re-cabling of your machine? Note the grip section of the new bar is...

    2021 Q45 Seat Angle

Hey all, Let me adjust the seat angle issue and let you all know what we are going to do: The last few production seat tubes had a top section of roughly 75mm and a bend of 39 degrees. Near universal feedback on the Q45 for the last 2 years was this: people wanted a more upright seat and many...

    2021 Q45 Seat Angle

Hey all - indeed the angle for the seat tube in this run was increased - perhaps a bit too much - but the U shaped piece can be removed to get more recline. I will be working on sourcing a set of spacers to include/send out that will fill that gap when the U shaped tube is removed to get more...

The new Q45 is getting ready to show up in the wild...

Nice!! Also I want to add a note for all that I need to add to the video - for the brake levers - they are an adjustable pull lever. To work better with the disc calipers you need to dial the small adjusters in clockwise as far as you can - then do the brake adjust. That will help a lot with...

    New Q45 coming....

I cant wait to see the pics of all these new Q45's out on the road - once the winter snowpocalypse if over of course. Ha. This is our first foray into through axle - so lots of new for Cruzbike and two wheeled recumbents in general! :-)

Welcome to the new spot to talk about ZWIFT

My basement is pretty much a dank hole - dank and low ceiling hole. Having a PJ and Zwift setup - on an 85" screen in front of me - is like riding off into the virtual world. Its awesome. And I need to get back to it! (Been too bust to even ride the last few weeks) :-(

    Smart trainers and the V20

Trainers where the wheel stays on the bike are not compatible with our front ends. Possibly some could be rigged up to work, but I haven't seen one. Direct drives are the only ones that work near universally.

    S40 brakes

Ill correct my post - the Tektro long reach ones can work - be aware that braking may or may not be sufficient with those. I tried those and found them woefully inadequate for the steep hills where I live. Also the width of them may or may not be an issue with the big wide caliper at the fork...

    S40 brakes

Regular caliper brakes will not work on the S40 frame.

    New Q45 coming....

Weight is about the same as previous for the most part I believe.

    Front wheel skewer springs

No springs needed on the front - if anything they can get all jammed in there between the stay and the fork - better to just toss them. On the competes I no longer have them included.

    Changing a front tire on a V20

Having the front come apart is not as shocking as it should be - IMHO I always pop it apart so I can then set the bike on the forks upright. This can only happen if the stay is unattached otherwise you would bend the hanger. On every bike (recumbent or otherwise) I always encourage practice...

    New Q45 coming....

We are planning on this - but bear with us as we have to get everything made and here as far as the "extras." Manufacturing and shipping has been hammered and taking a toll on the entire bike industry. But we will eventually have these available.

    New S40 owner

Hey all. In general the front end on a V20, S40, or Q45 are not compatible with "wheel on" trainers - ideally you need a direct drive trainer and use the stock Cruzbike wheel skewer. The wheel-on train will have an awkward spread when it is tightened, given the added width of our front end. Robert
