Riding on Mountain bike Trail with a Cruz Bike Quest

Great little video ecobiker! Felt like I was just there riding with you. Really interesting cycling gloves you where wearing. Looks like they would be handy for hauling away any branches or logs that might be on the path! Kudos!

After 4500 miles on my V I've developed "tennis elbow"

Craig, I am very sorry to here of your problems. A few observations: We all learn to ride in such different ways, and even if on the same bike, we develop habits (good or bad for our body) out of some bodily necessity to maintain the bike in the upright position. It has been my experience that...

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

Yes I am - I've definitely got some angels working overtime on me this weekend, if not this whole year! (They might be asking for another assignment for next year, who knows??? :) )

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

No it was the red one (V20) - But, I had the entire boom and fork triangle stripped and powder-coated silver (when I first got it), as I did not really like the black boom look!

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

That was awesome - Eddie M looks so young! Yeah it was "kinda" like that - too bad I didn't have my helmet cam on! Maybe I should just wear it all the time!

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

And reduce the seat angle down to about 14 degrees? That would be sweet! Just don't wreck it - ever, or even let it topple over and get a crack in it. Like Jim said: Bike makers would rather have CF frames - that way they would sell more, since any crash = new bike!

Up Mt Tamalpais and back from San Francisco, leisurely 56 miles

What Rick said - Plus can't believe you did it bare-footed! Amazing!

Something (really stupid) happened on the way to the Park

Rarely do we do "one thing" so stupid and life threatening, even rarer do we do 2 stupid and life threatening things in one day, or perhaps even in our lifetime. But - I was witness to someone so dense that they did 3, yes 3, "stupid and life threatening" things all in he course of a one hour...

    Haters going to hate

Well said- Jeffyboy! I think sometimes some of us "excitable souls" get so wound up about the abuse Cruzbike takes that we maybe forget to see the big picture. Thanks for reminding us! We can now officially change the title of this thread to : "Lovers going to love"!

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

Well, I've got a good 12K miles or so and the Vendetta and I can only barley ride with no hands. (I don't have any trouble cruising at 25+ mph and taking one hand off my handlebars, pull my water bottle out, drink, and put it pack, with very little impact on my speed or cadence - but there is...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

By this statement: Jason, I'm getting the impression that you don't think you will be riding the Vendetta much after the 24 hour TT in November. :( I hope you change your mind after that, as it sure would be cool to have you come east for some drafting allowed races that some of us other...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

Well I thought that also, until I started wearing 2 different monitors at the same time. Then the Cardiologist had me wear a "holter" monitor for 2 weeks. During that time I continued my fairly intense training and racing. They where able to confirm it was really happening, and of course now I...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

You're right - you probably would not collect enough data to perhaps be of any use on your 24. But it would sure be useful at some point, especially for us Cruzbiker's that has aspirations of riding the 24. Maybe someone has a nice racing wheel with a PT on it that they can let you run and...

Best options for 28mm tires on the Vendetta?

I am running Conti 4000 SII 23's on my front (do not know what the clearance is: can measure when I get home), and Conti 25's on the rear. I rode 24 hours at Sebring on this setup with 100 psi and did not have any comfort issues. But then, I also just used the stock headrest too, so I may not be...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

Jason - do you have a power meter? If not- I would make that you next investment. (Probably PT P1 so you can switch between bikes) Also while you are still doing MTB and Vendetta rides at the same time, it would be really valuable information to collect. Your max heart rate is impressive. How...
