    Calvin's Challenge

Here's are the rwgps files for both Calvin's loops. If you studied these before the race, you would at least know somewhat what you where up against. At least for the turns, but not the road conditions. 50.5-mile loop: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/55010 7 mile loop...

    My Journey Begins...

I have no history with Cyclops trains on Cruzbikes - Hopefully some others will chime in Ratz for one probably knows - since he appears to have experience with everything made for every type of bicycle. :) I don't think he ever sleeps! I would think since the trainers are designed to set the...

    2104 Silvio for sale

Can you give us a run down on the components it has on it? That might make it a little easier.

    Calvin's Challenge

SuperSlim - I think training at least 30 minutes at my threshold or beyond every other day really helped me with the matches part, but it did eventually zap me of energy. The last 2 hours of the race: it was hard to just keep it in the 21-22mph range, which is something I would do for recovery...

    2104 Silvio for sale

Man, I hope you get the money some other way as would be a shame to let it go. If I had the cash... but then I would be a dead man, cause my wife would "kill" me! Figuratively of course!

    Calvin's Challenge

Thanks everyone for your great support and encouragement. The Cruzbike team (plus Kevin) we had at this event was remarkable. We worked together well and had great results. Jeffrey, short loops - you are funny! :0 Most of the pictures above where at corners where Gary could park and get access...

    Power meter for Vendetta

I guess the thread has been hi-jacked by Table Tennis! :) haha. Yeah - I really love Table Tennis too, and even had a TT robot to practice with. At one time I played competitively - I know kind of hard to believe - "Larry competitive" - but there was a time when I was younger and had more...

    Power meter for Vendetta

I might call the Stages folks directly. I have heard that they are willing to work with folks that don't fit into the mold. Certainly won't cost anything to ask.

    Rohloff Chain Tensioner

I was really curious about this when I got my first Cruzbike - a Silvio, but I was not able to find much to point me in that direction. I just started riding ultras and kind of forgot about it.. :( In my view it will take some custom machining to make it work, but it would be sweet not to have...

    Power meter for Vendetta

Yeah, but make no mistake - I would also like to move to Redding too - Rick, maybe build some kind of bikers-bunkhouse nearby for us all.

    Power meter for Vendetta

Thanks Bob, Lief. I have ridden the KICKR for 5+ hours just with the Wahoo app as my display - basically looking at wattage, HR, cadense. However I was listening to music. There might be a little bit of art to it, but having a goal, a workout to follow, something to occupy the mind really helps...

    Power meter for Vendetta

Ratz, Thanks for your detailed analysis of all the Q-rings power data, and also Regular rings too. It looks like we both ended up with "about" the same conclusion: That the KICKR appears to record a higher wattage output than "other" power meters. My Vectors seem to be more off than your Stages...

    Power meter for Vendetta

Regular Q-rings testing complete: My conclusions and spreadsheet at the bottom if you don't want to read all of this Here are my 2 tcx files from my "Reegular" Q-rings power testing comparing the power readings from my TrainerRoad program using KICKR for the power with my Garmin file using...

    Power meter for Vendetta

Hey Bob, Wahoo did not send me a new firmware version, they just said it was available (version 1.1.3.32). I connected my I-pad up to the KICKR and it said there was an update - I OK'd the download and it installed. Had to toggle the Bluetooth on and off on the I-pad, and then cycle the power on...

    Down Hill Form

That is the little "pod" of the Garmin Vector Pedals. Holds that battery and transmitter I suspect. No - not pedaling from the middle of my arch, however my toes are pretty much pointed straight up when I pedal. Little odd, but that's the way I do it. :)

    Power meter for Vendetta

I don't know if I'd be willing to spend this kind of money on something just to be cool -I'm too cheap for that! ;) In my experience the Q-rings really do smooth out the pedal stroke and get the most out of your power stroke. I did not have a power meter to test on when I got them, so do not...
