Me again with question about wheel hop

Do yourself a favor and upgrade your T50 standard brakes to the TRP-Spyre brakes. Upgrade the front for sure, and the rear too, if you ride hills. Makes all the difference in the world.

    kickstand for T50?

Yes, there is a wonderful custom kickstand I just installed on my T50, soon to be available from Cruzbike. I was one of the lucky testers. It's lightweight but works even on hills. And yes, every bike needs a kickstand, especially in the city.

    Good light jacket for Cruzbiking

I've been using this one for a few years now and they are finally back in production after a few seasons of back orders. Even after dozens and dozens of washes, it still looks great. The articulated elbows, velcro sleeve closures, zippered arm pit vents, and kangaroo front pocket are extremely...

    Bruce scores 2 Cruzbikes

Congratulations Bruce on your score! I warned you this would happen when you rode Pegasus! That Freerider will make a perfect electric conversion, and the Silvio is sweet. Decide what you want out of your e-bike: speed, climbing, hauling, or range and then decide if you care about being street...

Electric assisted Quest (250W european legal)

I actually have a prototype Cruzbike Freerider with the rear wheel EZ hub motor built by Bob Mcree. I have not seen the Quest yet but a Cruzbike with a rear-hub motor becomes an awesome all-wheel drive vehicle suitable for all terrains. You may want to consider a Freerider or Sofrider frame...

700 miles on my new Silvio and loving it!

With 700 miles behind me on my 2009 Campy Centaur Silvio I'm checking in with a report. (Maximum speed 39.5 mph, average speed 12.5 mph) I've taken it on a 5 road rides with up to 70 other cyclists and used it for commuting to work in San Francisco and Marin County. My longest ride was 140...

Radical (re)Design (of the) Solo Racer Bag

My only issue with my Silvio is carrying enough gear. In San Francisco I might ride through several micro-climates in any given half-hour of riding. It might be windy and foggy on one side of town and sunny and hot on the other. So I am very interested in improving my cargo capacity without...

    Commute to work

San Francisco commute recorded w/iPhone 3G "Trailguru" app I've been commuting every day on my Sofrider V1 since September. Trailguru application for Apple iPhone 3G lets me record my commutes using the phone's GPS. It's a great way to monitor your ride time, speed, distance, and elevation...

Sofrider-Best bike at Burning Man 2008

I ride my Sofrider with an elevation change of 440 feet over 3.75 miles each way to work in San Francisco. I was worried about taking my commuter bike to Burning Man. Everybody told me "don't take a good bike-the alkaline dust will ruin it." I'm glad I did! The playa at Black Rock City this...
