Before all of the bikes there was the Cruzbike conversion kit. The bike in my avatar was designed around a kit and built by me back in the early or mid 2000s. Had a few conversations with Tolhurst during that time.

Congrats on working through a couple of tough surgeries. Cruzbikes have been an important part of post kidney transplant recovery and continued health for me.

Will the new S40 frameset take rim brakes? I have a very nice road bike group that I could transfer but it isn't disk brakes.

I'll be buying a T50 over the winter. If an emeljay kit was available for the T50 I'd buy it. My days of tinkering and searching for bike parts are behind me now.

and fwiw a 2.0 fits in the back of a 2 door Honda Civic. Take the rear wheel off, remove handlebars, open the car trunk into the back seat, insert bike rear end first. Plenty o room.

 Best downhill speed was Best downhill speed was 45mph. No aero tuck and I stopped pedalling at about 40. This was on some bigger rollers (relative to Wisconsin) close to where I live. Best unassisted was somewhere in the mid 30s. Pretty good for a transplant patient in his late 50s.
