S40 brakes

Will the new S40 frameset take rim brakes? I have a very nice road bike group that I could transfer but it isn't disk brakes.

Ill correct my post - the Tektro long reach ones can work - be aware that braking may or may not be sufficient with those. I tried those and found them woefully inadequate for the steep hills where I live. Also the width of them may or may not be an issue with the big wide caliper at the fork (hitting your legs) This will depend on the person and where the BB is in space changing the angle of the riders legs.

Agreed on the wide calipers up front. I have used the Tektros with excellent success in terms of braking power and modulation but when digging in hard I found I had occasional problem hitting the inside of my right knee on the brakes. Never a problem w left knee. So much for applying even power stroke from both sides.
