After a lot of experimentation, I ended up using a post base for a 6x6 from my local hardware store as the the mount for my thor seat. Here is the finished setup. It works really well. I weigh 225, and I rode the setup for a 65 mi loaded ride. I am still using the angled seatpost.

I saw that. I wasn't sure if the Thor seat design had changed to accommodate the Q45 brackets. It looks like I'll have to track down a qx100 bracket.
